Status : Offline | Oops, so sorry, Spryte. Been a bit busy lately. Well, the O/I error would seem to indicate an "input/output" problem, which would point to there either being a problem with your disc drive, or with those particular discs. Have you installed any other games or applications on that specific computer lately?

Status : Offline | Oh, dear - seems to be an error with those discs, then... I've researched this error with this specific game, and found the following, you might want to try it:
Another common issue is with CD-/DVD-ROM drives. Sometimes you get messages like 'insert disk 1' when you already have it inserted I've found the solution to be this: eject 'disk 1', insert 'disk 2', press OK, wait until you get the same message, then swap again. During the Myst IV installation in particular I had to do it over and over again, as many as four times I think :r Another bad example is XIII, where I had to have *two* (out of four) disks inserted (one in each -ROM drive) at the same time before the game would launch .
I know that is not the error message you are getting, but it's worth a try..
Aaargh, the more I research errors on the game, the more frustrated people I find who could not either start or install this game... -which is such a pity, as it is quite a nice game.
I played the game myself about 8 months ago, also from a disc, and I think all I had to do was install the patch. At least I could get it to install though...

Status : Online | Hi Travelor I finally got it to load onto my computer, with your suggestion of putting the CD in and out. Now I can't get past the security thing. I tried doing what it says and shutting off the computer and starting up again and it just repeats the same thing. Turn off the computer and start again . I uninstalled at and reinstalled and and tried it without the CD in told the security no, and it just won't start. Any suggestions.
Thanks so much [smiley=hair_pull.gif]

The NoCD should remove the StarForce. But I don't know if the game itself runs on 64-bit Windows 7, even without the StarForce blocking it.
