Gray Matter is the first adventure game by renowned author Jane Jensen since the release of Gabriel Knight 3. the story mixes eerie goings-on with supernatural events in best Jensen-style. Neurobiologist Dr. David Styles is one of the games central characters: since losing his wife in a horrible accident some several years ago, he has become a recluse, seldom leaving Dread Hill House, his English country estate.

Playing- U are playing with two characters Sam, and David. At the very beginning of the game u have a tutorial, so it is good to watch it.

CHAPTER 1
-Rabbit (Houdini) is in the plant by the window. From your backpack by the bed, take carrot, the water bottle, knife, Magic Tricks book and wallet. From the mirror stand take water bottle and then click on the water next, use the full water bottle on the cage, also select the carrot from your inventory and give it to your rabbit. After examine everything in house, go outside. Getting out the house, and return the triggers Maid to show.Enter the kitchen.Ask Mrs Dalton about everything. Exit and read the envelop For the new assistant- Again, back to kitchen and talk with Mrs Dalton about the "Cellphone". Travel to Oxford Town Center and enter Commarket Street then enter the "Black Wand" store. Click on the game machine , then click on the Daedalus Club logo.
Mephistopheles appears, talk to him once the talking between them is over you can ask him about the Daedalus Club logo. Ask him twice about it, then click on the game machine.
- Machine puzzle-u have two butons and the goal is getting sum of 21 (ex. Press 1-st button ‘till u get 10, than another for 1-any combination will do.) On your right side the document will appear-take it. It is the riddle of Dedalus club
Talk to Mephistopheles again, then go back to the read Carfax Tower Plaque (High aboveHigh…sholar’s heart Centre of Oxvord), then go to the top of it Tower's click on the door to close it then click on the Red Box.
Use your Daedalus Club Matches (fire ) and click the bottom of the red box, it should open.
Take "Coat of Arms" exit the tower and read the Coat of Arms Plaque located at the building at your left. Right click the "Coat of Arms" you got and Sam says "It's a coat of arms but from where?" then locate the Christ Church college and click it. There u found box in fountain, click the box then click the Box Lid to lift it.
Right click on the water to your right then (Without exiting the Box window) equip the water and click the Linen on the box(You need to click twice)- the picture will appear. Exit the Box screen. Click the box and click the picture in there, it should go off and a piece of the puzzle should appear under it(water) .Go to the Christ Church College Gardens at the bottom right of your screen. Click the middle "Flowers", now you should see Fresh dirt (earth), click it until you get
the Beer Coaster. In the centre go to Queen Street, and talk to the 3 students there.
Pick up blue party flyer and St Edmunds Hall should be unlocked so, off we go..After the cutscene speak with Harvey completely and you should get spare catridge. Click on Lisa to perform a Magic Trick on her. Use Up In Smoke trick of your magic book. (performing a trick you holding item with left mouse button, and drag it to position)
Load Spare Catridge on your left sleeve.
Take Lisa's Catridge on your right hand.
Take the Spare Catridge back to your left hand.
Drag Lisa's Catridge to your left hand.
Click "Missdirect"
Move the Spare Catridge to you right hand.
Put Lisa's Catridge up your sleeve.
Ok, you have Harvey.
Talk to Angela Mullholand, go through all the dialogue. Click on the Payphone next to her, to get number of paypfone
Now ajust your cell :click Menu, then Options, then on Mute click On (top-right bottom "Select" to select something on the cellphone) Click on Angela Mullholand and Select the Telephone Psychic trick
Take cellphone to your left hand.
Click Missdirect.
Click Manipulate.
Drag cellphone to your left sleeve.
Angela is now recruited Angela.
Trick for Charles and Helena.
After going through all the dialogue click on Charles which should be sitting on the bench and go through all the dialogue with Charles too. Click on the book and then letter, and talk to him again.
