GameTap which was in the start a promising effort to provide a large library online of games that were both old and new has slashed their list and turned support to 64 bit in an effort to be just another download facility ..as in download for sale i think. they say not, but i dont believe em.
they dropped so many classics i just am still shaking my head....it is amazing how stupid they are...and how narrow minded. Classics from Far Cry to Freespace, Deus Ex to URU and most of the Myst list...gone....to make room for hyperactive last gen junk.....
i had supported them for years to thank them for their support of URU and Myst Online but i am ditching them when my subscription runs out in December and good riddance. I have no respect for such shallow and turning back on the history of gaming. It is essential to keep the connection between old and new.....but nuff said. What a shame.
And shame on them.

the ridiculous thing is that many of not most of these are totally updateable or playable with some work and some already have updated patches that are completely approved of by the original developer like the multi XP Vista Patch for Tomb Raider titles that EIDOS has approved.
