I can see what you mean (graphics wise ??), but it's not 'D'.

This game is quite hard to get hold of. I certainly don't have a copy.

 Well done adventure-guru!

What gave it to you? Do you own a copy? And have you played it?

Hi Gelert,

Yes, I did own it at one time and played through the game.  Even still, the only picture you posted that I remembered was with the topless mannequin with the coffins against the wall, heh.

Okay, let's see if this screen capture will be challenging to anybody?

Sorry to butt in, but I'm in a screenshot-posting mood, and I doubt anyone will guess this since the game has not been released yet anyway,
..sorry, but I feel an itch to post it...
-and the person who guesses it, will be the King/Queen of Meaningless Trivia for 2010.  8-)

True, it does, but it's not from there, and there's another game series that I can think of that it also looks like, but I've been a bit unfair with this one, I'm afraid. I shall reveal all if no one has guessed yet by Sunday.

I'm not sure if this game will even be released, but I had this screenshot on my hard drive, so I thought; "Why not?"

It is the challenging thread after all.  :

Looks like another Blackwell game. Reminds me of Emerald City, which it is not.

Trav, I want to say A Vampyre Story sequel, but it's a bit too cartoony and painterly even for that game. Hm :/

Come, now, my dear!  That's far too easy!  It is, of course, Dread Hill House from Gray Matter.  I'd recognise those stiff peaks anywhere.

You are correct, I am sure, that it is indeed Dread Hill House, but where is the actual picture from?

From Jane Jensen's Web log, smarty-pants.

Sigh.  You simply are too smart for me, JKing.   :

I was going to say it is concept art depicting a Christmassy Dread Hill House, posted along with the short story; "Twas the Night Before" by Jane Jensen on her blog during December 2008.

The story introduces the character Sam, from a period in her life before she met David Styles.  I haven't read the story, but perhaps I should, since it probably provides some interesting background regarding the game.
