Hey Everyone!

I wanted to ask you to try my new adventure game I created together with Alex Van der Wijst (The Winter Rose, Besieged) and Thomas Regin (composer for Blackwell Convergence and Emerald City Confidential).

Yesterday it was chosen as one of the 6 best freeware games of September 2010 by PC Gamer.

It was also picked as a Freeware Game Pick by the IndieGames.com blog.

And it goes recommended by Agustin Cordes - the developer of horror adventure games Scratches and Asylum.

Snakes of Avalon is a dark comedy point & click adventure game about alcoholic incapacitation and people obsessed with murdering their other half. It mixes the style and atmosphere of Hitchcock suspense films with a surreal game world inspired by the best cult trippy movies.

...And it all starts in a cheap bar. Jack, a hopeless drunk, becomes an accidental witness to a nefarious murder plot. So what can he do about the situation being who he is?

Here's the first review of the full and final version of the game: http://www.wingdamage.com/review-snakes-of-avalon/

Hey everyone!

I compiled a list of quotations from all reviews and player comments so far to speak for our game's quality and show that it's something a bit different. Take a look:

This thread is kinda creepy... -and to think that such a cute and talented guy like Agustin can be so.....   s-ss-sscary...    [smiley=scared.gif]  [smiley=shaking_head.gif]

(You'd think he would command people to play his own games, anyhow...

Well, I thought it will be best to do it like this:

1. Start off the review quotes on a strong note with the one comparing Snakes' storytelling depth to Grim Fandango's.

2. Then, to mess things up, quote from the guy who thought Snakes was completely bonkers, but he loved it for some reason nevertheless.

3. Then put some Gnome Lair's praises about the production values, especially the Jazz soundtrack.

4. Finally, to sum it all up in the best possible manner 2 quotes from YOUR review - one about the game having revolutionary gameplay features, the other about it being laugh-out-loud funny and incredibly well designed.

Your exhaustive, well-intentioned and completely unnecessary explanations are not satisfactory. However, I guess I'll have to live with it.

As the game is absolutely free I had a go.! It's not very long 2 - 4 hours (depending on how you get on!) The graphics are very basic but I found it very entertaining, thoughtful & challenging. To me it was a very good example of what you can achieve on a basic game engine with a good idea! And I loved the music!  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Big thanks for your impressions from the game, loobiloo. I'm happy you had fun playing it.

No way of getting it on the Ipad sadly, but for a while I planned a Mac version. Unfortunately, the software to do it didn't work out for me, and for now I don't have the time to look into it more closely. And I would really like to move on to another game project as soon as possible too.

I wish making all possible translations and ports wasn't so time-consuming.
