I probably will. After I finish a couple of adventure games that I promised myself that I would finish in 2010 (I still swing both ways these days) I'll be back with FA3 game play which I am strangely starting to like at least for the time being and I will live with (or die trying) until next March. 8-)

Yes, this is clearly the best case where in my benefit at least it pays to be a year or so behind with games that I consider that I might want to purchace but I consider to be a risk ($) as to whether or not I either want or at least play based on my own experience. Time will tell.

"A lot" is relative. Still, it seems there were "too many" who had problems. Even if 4,000 people out of 200,000 units sold had problems, that, to me, is too many....especially if I'm one of them!  This is just based on my reading the PC forums, so it isn't fact.)
Plus, when the game was released and people were trying to activate for the first time, Steam had problems--affecting everyone. That, to me, is fly in the ointment. Steam promptly fixed its problem, but the stigma still remains, and many gamers (in the forum) aren't thrilled with having to rely on Steam to play and update their disc game. Others don't mind the hand holding. Me, I like to be in control of who accesses my computer and when.
I play on PC, so I only read Bethesda's PC forum. Consoles may be having issues all their own, and in greater quantities, I don't know. But since I demand instant gratification and a brand-new game, I pre-ordered and started playing while the disc was still cold from sitting out in my mailbox.
I wonder who writes all those wikia pages with console codes of all the weapons and clothing, etc., as well as the walkthroughs. There were hundreds of pages up before the game was released. I had to force myself not to read them.

Btw, I'm glad you posted those pics of the dino. I never saw the door on that side of him... :-[
Next up, you should show us pics of the forest you mentioned?

And don't ya forget to visit Vault 22 if you want some greenery in your Vegas.
Oh and the hero is a fair resemblance of me...maybe 30 years ago.

Aaaannyyway, what I'd like to know next, is how does one get to those nice looking forests - is that a mod?
EDIT: Oh, I see, - the key lies with vault 22, does it? Ok, now to FIND Vault 22..

There are also underground areas--sewers, the Thorn, not to mention all the caves.
And don't forget to collect the snow globes!
Vault 22 is 3 things: 1. An experiment gone loco 2. Tropical 3. Very dangerous
Did you see our Fallout 3 thread with pictures of the mod that adds trees? It's really terrific--like a whole new game.

I had been hoping that I might be able to find a few other simple environmental mods, but not having much success.

Also, this is my 4th play through and I'm still finding new things. There is a whole other level to Camp McCarron I somehow missed, with some very good quests. Glad I missed 'em!

Now that I'm a registered member on the Nexus forums I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to address my interests directly rather than search blindly through the listed categories and massive mod listings.

There are tons of toy trucks, though...

http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38719
I just saw this today and downloaded it immediately. Only one .esm to drag and drop. It also suggests one .ini file tweak.
I'll let you know if I have any problems.
LATER: No problems. And, wow! Lots of action in this fascinating group of locations--and lots of goodies, too. Bring a companion--some of these are tough! I've explored about 10 of the locations so far in over 2 hours. No real "quests," but lots of fun.

Still loving this game, and it is still young. PC Gamer Game of the Year, for what it's worth.

Status : Offline | Well, apparently I'm alone in my enjoyment of Fallout New Vegas. I'm on my 4th play through and finding new and amazing things each time, as well as trying various ways of playing with various weapons.
Also some mods are great. The Bobblehunt mod, which hides the Fallout 3 Bobbleheads in difficult yet somewhat logical locations, is a motivation to explore. There are three locations for the bobblehead stands, all populating with whatever you manage to find. I'm in my mid-20's level and this is tough.
It's also nice not taking sides while you're pursuing the mod's quests.
This game is richer than I first thought. Very verbose and helpful characters are hidden among the masses for you to find.
This game is not quite as fuzzy as Oblivion, but with the right companion, and knowledge on how to use her, it is terrific.

It is nice to hear that the modding community has spent so much time with New Vegas.

I'm about to enter the strip, having finished everything in Freeside.
