This is Sir Cliff Richard.  Back in the days..... he was Britain's answer to Elivs Presley.  Also, as a teenager (13) I had a bit of a crush on this man.

He's now almost 70 and just released this photo.  Not bad.... not bad at all..... in fact.... extremely nice.

$20 says he dyes all his hair. He has stayed in good shape for someone his age though.

I agree.    ..on the other hand, I knew of people who only went grey in their seventies, so you never know - that could still be his own haircolour, though I wouldn't bet on it .
With him being a celebrity in today's day and age I suppose it wouldn't be too hard to dye all your hair.

..and I think he is a walking example of how much damage the sun can do to your skin.  Look how old the skin at his throat looks compared to the rest of him, which is much less tanned.

You realise I cannot un-see this, right?

Partner - "Hey hun, why are you looking at me like that?"
Me - "Oh. I'm just mentally comparing and contrasting you to a naked Cliff Richard."
Partner - "Oh, alright. Wait...."

Apparently this picture is from his 2011 calendar.  He has sold 1.5m of them so far.  Just googling him I've discovered that he's a marketing supremo - there are numerous Cliff Richard items to buy, including wine from his own vineyard.

Apparently his regime includes three tennis games per week, two glasses of red wine per day, and no wheat or gluten in his diet.

I'm not at all surprised Helen.  America already had an Elvis, what would they want with another one?

Like Elvis he made corny musical movies that are charming in their innocence.   He quickly became associated with Christianity, btw, but despite a couple of decorous romances with women, including the tennis star Sue Barker, he has remained a bachelor.  It's widely believed that Cliff is gay or bisexual but he refuses to confirm it and the Brits are so fond of him nobody cares either way.

This is a clip from Summer Holiday.  I grew up watching movies like this on the tv on Sunday afternoons.

And the reason for his longevity in showbusiness is that he changed his style of music to keep up with the times.

From the 50s rock and roll... (I love this style of music

through the long haired 70s and 80s

He gave Olivia Newton John her big break on his TV show bringing her as an unknown teenager from Oz.  She said later he was romantically interested in her.

Ahhh that was fun, watching all those youtube clips.
