Hi everybody. So I haven't posted in a while, but I wanted to make everybody aware that with some of the adventure games. They now have walk-through on YouTube. Just type in the name of the game you want and you can watch the game start to finish.

Because I don't have an XBox, that's the only way I've been able to experience the new Quantic Dreams game 'Heavy Rain'.

I love video walkthroughs. That way I was able to "play" Metal Gear Solid 4... hah.

Yes, this is totally an adventure game discussion

Yeah, one of those console thingies all them young-uns are playing these days, with their atari's and their sega's and their super sonic beep-beep video games
Nah, I don't have either, so Heavy Rain's been ruled out for me.

Last night I watched some clips from one of these things from Phantasmagoria 2. I still have the game, and it was a trip down the road of frustration that game provided. Awesome.

Now I just need someone to make one for Gabriel Knight 3. The voice-over would go something like "Wow. Oh, cool. Oh wow, this rocks. Awesome. Wow. Ooooh, check this out. Oh, coo-- I DO WHAT WITH THE SYRUP AND THE CAT HAIR?? WHY? THAT MAKES NO SENSE!! ARRRGH!!--Oh wow. Oh this is cool. Oh hey, le serpent rouge is amazing. Oh wow. Hey, what a twist! This rocks!"

Hi flinton35, thank you for the info! I'm a bit baffled though - I can't understand the point of playing a game if you have it all laid out for you watching it from start to finish. Maybe for more complicated games or specific sections of those or those that fall into a different genre?

I can understand, New Wolfboy, why you might watch a video walkthrough to experience a game you'd really like but can't because you have the wrong system but I don't think 'young-uns' are playing ataris and segas these days - are they?

Hellspawn, your comment was very rude & ignorant are you  ageist!

I've enjoyed watching bits and pieces of games I know I'll never get to play because they're too old or not compatible with my computer.

Well first and formost watching Heavy Rain was fun becuase I don't have a PS3 just a pc and  watching it was just watching a movie on tv and good game story is getting harder and harder to come by.

Don't you think?

Plus seeing a puzzle solved is better than reading about it somtimes, however not always for examle the lock pick puzzle in Still Life is a pain and the video did not help at all.

I can see why anyone might want to watch through games that you can't get to play, especially if you've got it & just got so frustrated! Personally, if I want a good story & the game doesn't work I'd rather just watch a film with a good story. Games for me are an interactive experience so a video of one that I can't play doesn't do it for me!
