Anyone else here a fan of the Legacy of Kain series? To me those games had such an awesome atmosphere and storyline (even though it got a bit complex), along with some really awesome characters. Each game was at least good, if not awesome.
There's rumors of the series returning, I hope they turn out true.

I really enjoyed them. The first was fiendishly hard though, and the second had far too many box-pushing puzzles for my tastes. But they were damn good at heart.

I'm a fan, though I never managed to get hold of the very first one, which kind of spoils the whole thing, because the series is so strong on story, and you don't really have a clue what is going on if you had not played the first one.

I ended up reading  a summary of the story, but it's not quite the same thing, is it?

I have blood Omen 2, and Soul Reaver 1 and 2. Played a bit of all of them, but I found Soul Reaver rather hard as in..  :-[  hehe, getting stuck in areas...

Ooooh....  a remake of the first game in the series would be soooo nice....  I wonder how the original would play in something like SCUmmVM or Dosbox?   ...or can it play on modern OS's?

I suspect that the PS1 version of blood omen 1 would be easier to find than the PC version. I see it in the used games section from time to time, while I've never seen the PC version in a used games section.

I tried the original way back, and while it was a fun game, the series does not really kick of until Soul reaver, which is an excellent game.

Oh, I'm a fan... I didn't play BO and SR games, just watched my brother play here and there. I did play Defiance several times - again, with my brother, because I wasn't fond of Kain's sword-swishing ways and my brother hated all the adventuring you had to do with Raziel.

tl;dr Excellent series with a crazy storyline, love it.

I thought I was the only one in the world who liked this series.  Shame it doesn't have any new games for years since Defiance.

I only like Blood Omen games.Kain is such a cool character and he  has one of the best game voice overs ever .The best way to play the first BO is to use a PS1 emulator rather than a PC one btw.You wouldn't have any compability problems, you can save the game whenever you want and if you'd like you can use  cheat codes.
