"Hi Everyone,
The Omega Stone has not shipped yet. We are still in the process of finalizing a few things, and then it will be ready! Some of you have noticed that your orders say 'shipped', however this is our shipping department getting all preorders together so that once we receive the final version of the game, we will be able to ship this out to you immediately, without delay.
Sorry for the confusion..."
I preordered direct and still have not received an email confirmation of shipment or tracking number.

Status : Online | This is Jim reporting live from door number 2 at the EB Games Wherehouse, I was just handed a memo from management. It states The Omega Stone's shipping date has been set back for 5 days for now due to an unexplained phenomenom. The trucks delivering the cases of games seem to be floating a few feet off the ground. No one can explain this yet. Teams have been called in to examine this unusual event. I will keep you informed as I receive information.

Status : Online | I arrived at the scene moments ago and let me tell you this is amazing. The trucks, 3 in all one behind the other, are levitating 6 feet above the ground. The military has put up a barrier around the trucks and have positioned these large satellite dishes, 8 in all equally spaced, around the outside of the barrier. I see CIA, FBI agents and these men dressed in black wearing dark glasses walking and talking. The drivers have jumped out of the cabs and are being interrogated as I speak. I had the opportunity to talk to one driver. He tells me that he was cruising along just fine when all of a sudden his truck quit running causing it to slowly come to a complete stop. He tried to restart his truck to no avail. All of a sudden a high-pitched humming sound engulfed his truck. He felt some kind of movement when all of a sudden his truck started to lift off the ground. He immediately jumped out of the truck falling to the ground. When getting up he saw the other 2 drivers had done the same. All drivers are shook up but uninjured. The trucks continue to hum. I will keep you updated

Orion tried to reach me to find out the scoop on just "when" you expect to see The Omega Stone... I was unable to call him back today, so I figured I'd respond online.
At the last minute, literally, a Q/A issue arose on only one of the discs. However, it was fixed and only delayed the release one or two days.
But it is important for you to know that we, Omni Adventures - the developer, and the publisher, The Adventure Company/Dreamcatcher, have made it a priority to make certain The Omega Stone is of the utmost quality. In terms of graphics, gameplay, engine speed, and stability, we have collectively worked very hard to ensure you have an enjoyable and exciting adventure!
BTW, while we are not involved in the shipping/distribution process (that is done by Dreamcatcher, our publisher), I understand that the game will ship this week or on Monday.
I hope you enjoy the game, and please watch out for those CIA agents hanging around the loading docks

Good to hear from you and thanks for the time and effort put into The Omega Stone. It is more then appreciated to know that there are developers out there spending many hours to produce works of art to entertain and thrill us.
Just to let you know the game has shipprd but seems to have run into a minor problem. I am covering it and hope in the end their will be a game to play.

That was a great message from the developer. How nice to know that this game might just not have any bugs, that is sure different from the attitude of Microids about the Syberia bugs. What three months to fix them.
Am really excited about getting this game, have waited a long time and really liked to first one and if everything is as it usually is, the technology will be better than the first one.

Status : Online | The sun went down hours ago. Huge arrays of lights were brought in an hour before dusk. They were placed in between the satellite dishes and powered up by several generators. You would never know that night has fallen opon us. Several men have put on these
white, completely sealed up, oxygenated suits. They are scanning the trucks taking some kind of readings. I can only guess as to what they are looking for. A couple of canteen trailers have been brought in to supply the hungry personal here with meals. They were named “Star Light “ and “Star Bright”, give me a break….. The meal I had was good. I ate the “Roswell Roast”. It came with “Planet Potatoes” and “ Venus Veggies”. For dessert I chose “Nebula Neutron Cake”. I am beginning to believe these guys take their job too seriously. Other then the lights, the meals and the investigation, nothing has changed. I want to call it a night if I can sleep but I don’t see a tent or trailer with Orion on it. Guess I grab a couple chairs or maybe even hit that rock. Good-night for now……..

Status : Online | Shame on those truck drivers, and all the emergency personnel as well. Obviously, they are not adventure gamers. Otherwise, they could have solved this levitating issue with a garden hose, some duct tape, battery cables, and a chewed stick of gum. Must not have ever watched Mac Guyver reruns either.
Still no shipment confirmation and tracking number here.

I was awakened this morning by the clanging of 3 ladders that were being carried past me as I laid on the ground shivering. I was given a blanket and I used my jacket as a pillow to comfort me. The men in white examined the trucks for a couple of hours and all went quiet for the rest of the night. The ladders have been stood up on the ends of the trucks. Looks to me like they are getting ready to open the rear doors of the trucks.
Breakfast was great. I am not going to tell you what I had but let’s just say it was out of this world. Before I forget, Later in the day I am hoping to have some inside information on The Omega Stone itself.
Now to answer some of your questions:
Gayle, I flew by helicopter to EB games warehouse after SirDave mentioned going there. Thanks SirDave. Then I flew here which by the way is not to far from the warehouses about 10 miles. As far as the guards and passes go, I was here before the military. I bought a black suit, dark shades and carry a laptop with a radar antenna hook up. I fit right in. I did not sleep to well.
SirDave, it is funny you mentioned Close Encounters. I have it on VHS, laser disc and DVD. I liked the movie. I have always liked Sci-Fi, mysteries, computer gaming, the outdoors but wish I had been born many years into the future where maybe there be no poverty, disease, war and maybe no work, just play. Would that get boring? What kind of a world might that be. Imagine computer gaming then. I am hoping on reincarnation. I have willed all my belongings to myself so if there is such a thing, I will get it all back. May not be able to use it but who knows. The other option is to be cremated, tossed into space, get picked and re-hydrated. Just a minute……..
It appears that they are getting ready to open the doors on the trucks. Yes….one man is climbing up each ladder while 2 hold each ………. They are cutting the seals. WOE!!!…..The humming noise is getting louder, the ground is vibrating. They have opened the doors……OH MY GO…..GET AWAY

| Deleted User | Never fear. I am sure that Orion is safe and well. At least he was when I spoke on the telephone to him around 2:20P ET today. He told me that he was making a heroic effort to liberate the Omega Stone from the aliens, however, the men in the little white suits were surrounding him and trying to take him into protective custody.
Now Jim, take deeps breaths, put your head between your knees if you feel faint, don't struggle if they grab you - and when they aren't looking - steal copies of the Omega Stone and run like heck. We will be waiting and watching.

Status : Online | TRY zzzzz taaa ZZZZZZ se zzzzzzzz you zzzzzzzz geZZZZZZZ me zZZZZZZZZ. I am align zzzz satellite……….There, hope you are receiving my transmission. All power and communications were cut off during my last broadcast. My laptop fried and my antenna looks like a burnt up Christmas tree. I had to call Harriet and have her air drop me another laptop and radar antenna. Thank you Harriet and if I can grab a few games I will. I believe that is what everybody else is trying to do. No one can explain what took place after having opened the truck doors but I can tell you what happened. As you know the humming noise increased and the ground started to shake. The moment the doors were opened a round yellowish-blue bright light accompanied by a loud electrical snap sound shot out from within the storage compartments literally throwing the men from their ladders tossing them 50 feet through the air. All three men sustained injuries and have been treated and are doing fine. We now have an added element to this already bizarre situation. A light see-through blue colored bubble has engulfed each truck. Straws were drawn to see who would go up to a truck and check this new phenomenon out. The loser went up to the truck and placed his hand on the bubble. It seems that some kind of energy field is protecting the trucks from being tampered with again. Every time he touched the field you could hear a light smooth hum. The area he touched would brighten up a little then back to normal when he removed his hand. This is getting better by the minute.
I had said earlier that I would have some inside information for you on The Omega Stone and I do. To start out with, the Riddle of the Sphinx started production in 1994 and released in Dec of 2000. It was a 5 1/2 year production. For the most part Jeff and Karen Tobler worked on the game. They hired a third towards the end of development to help finish the game. Most of us have played the game and very much enjoyed it. For those of you who have not, do so. You can check it out down below.
The Omega Stone’s design documenting started early 2001. By the end of 2001 full production had started, 3D modeling, shooting video, sound and programming. It took Jeff, Karen and 7 others a year and a half to develop The Omega Stone. Jeff, Karen and the team started working night and day on Omega July 2002 until it’s completion.
The Omega Stone is a larger game then ROTS. ROTS took up 3 CD’s and 2 gig where Omega takes up 4 CD’s carrying 4.2 gig. You will have 9 worlds to explore. You will have the option of installing the entire game onto your hard rive or 800 meg.
And now to answer the big question, Will there be another? Let’s just say there are STRONG hints there will be a 3rd title. Plans are also in works for other adventure titles. Anyway we look at it we win. We have a great game to look forward to and we have not heard the last from Jeff and Karen Tobler.

Man I am getting hungry. New lights are being hooked up to generators as I speak. I think the blue glow from the energy fields is more then enough light. . What an awesome sight.
