Status : Offline | Thanks Masher, it's good to be back. I hope you'll have time to tell us sometime how you're finding Still Life 2, btw. I'm a bit nervous because some people didn't like the game, and hope you had/are having a positive experience with it.
Thanks, Caroline :-*

Only got a minute since we're off to Maine for a few days for a family emergency. I was really liking SL2 except it seems I have reached a dead end. I'm at the point, playing as Vic and checking the Motel for clues to Paloma's disappearance, and Garris is stuck at the charred door. I can't trigger him to open it and I've apparently done everything since I finally resorted to a walkthrough. I may try again later with an earlier save. Happy Gaming.

Oh dear. I do actually vaguely remember being stuck there too, but IIRC, it was because I had left out some small thing. Sadly I played it too long ago to exactly remember, but will let you know if I have an epiphany regarding getting unstuck there.

This is what I get for not visiting this site more often.
Stick around and share your pain with us. That's what friends are for!
Glad you decided to stick around.

...so nice to see you again as well, and thank you for the kind words. :-*
Hope things are going well over at your "other" website; - I almost thought of popping in there if you kept on staying away here, to see where you'd gotten to!

I'm a little late, but nevertheless: Congratulations! I'm very glad to read of it, Travel(l)er - and well done on having qualified for such a bursary, if I may say so. ^_^

Replying to you in another topic and realized your username changed a bit along with the post count then I saw this topic.
Hope things are going well and back on track for you.

One valuable lesson that has been reinforced for me, Stiler, is NEVER to act when feeling emotional. Golly, I wish someone would have tied me up for a few days there, because really, I should've known this by now.. Ah, well, some lessons take longer to learn than others... :-/

Our trip went well but the heat followed us. We are looking at all options for assited living care for my Mom. We've offered her to stay with us but as my younger brothers live close to her, I think she will stay there. Hopefully she will be somewhere new before winter sets in.
As for SL2, it definitely looks like I've reached a dead end. I've revisited all locations numerous times to make sure I have not missed anything. I've read a couple walkthroughs to confirm I've done everything though I did do things in quite a different order. I'm thinking of shelving this one. Too bad since I was quite enjoying it up till this point. Happy Gaming.
