Right. If I recall correctly (it's been a while so forgive me) you had to place them in the correct order and continually use some type of breathing apparatus to stay alive. Plus I really suck with these maze environments. :
Keep at it Cris, you have much much more to visit and see.

Ys it is a remarkable game, the combination of stunning visual themes and locations, combined with a really fun story, solid game play once you get to know your way around and just a all around enjoyable romp thru some great sci fi themes ....and even some philospohy and jabs at popular urban myths thrown in make this a real keeper....glad you will take the trip.

The Utopian World of Sunder, 5 million scientists and each one an expert with lots of disagrements with his/her fellows....

Not even religion escapes the keen pen of the writers, you can meditate and commune with the artifact of your choice..for a price...here Grumpas comunes with the Perfect Cube....on Sender Station....

the not sp perfect but VERY democratic Democratus.....be sure to look for the deiplay in the museum on Sender about Democratus and a project that went...somewhat astray in their past...

And i continually am awed and love the beautiful set design of the locations, combinations of lighting and texture/colour that are wonderful to explore and just to look at....here we are delving into the lower depths of Democratus....

I'm still amused by a number of elements that I remember: Grumpos yammering people into submission (including using it as a combat skill, as I recall), the local standard power source being irradiated animals (Nuclear Radiated Glodents, or NRG, with one of the more powerful varieties being "bat-eries", or something to that effect), having Spoiler AlertDemocratus - the entire planet itself, population included - shrink down to human scale and join the party, and later save the day (and cause a few additional temporary problems) by re-enlarging.
On the artistic side, the characters, story, concepts and animations seem to be what stand out for me, in particular a number of scenes involving Rho (I think that her exposition on the... uh... "history" of the conflict that the characters find themselves involved in. Fatima in particular had a few touching moments, as I recall.
Originally posted by Camaroboy I expect you will find the next mini-game to be much harder. Would that be Spoiler Alertthe flight into the hive?If so, then I remember that - I seem to recall that it gave me some trouble. :/
*sighs and chuckles* Of course, now I find myself with the urge to play it again - and my copy is, if I'm not much mistaken, at the other end of the country! XD;
MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
*ahem*
Sorry.

yep that is fun, i actually found it easier and more fluid than i expected, if you just keep responding intuitively to many of the in game tests in Anachronox, it works out ok, which i like.
yp those things you mention are all a lot of fun. And there is so much creative complexity throughout, it is a blast.

*grins at her* And now, to conquest! First the forum - then, the world! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!
As to Spoiler Alertthe flight into the hive - I'm honestly not sure of whether I dread the thought of facing it again, or relish the prospect of returning to it with a greater experience at gaming available to me...
[edit] Eheh, my apologies if anyone ended up unwittingly reading the spoiler above before playing the specified section - it seems that I mistakenly used to the wrong closing tag, saved the post, and then went off to other sites... ^^; [/edit]

Spoiler Alerthive is the following: the lower round guage at the left is your ammo supply. Once it empties you click on it to refill. Do this as often as you can.
The button on the lower right is your health. the key to staying healthy is to always shoot the health power up icons floating in the tunnel even if you have to miss shooting a few of the enemy drones. This is because the power ups restore you more than the drones damage you. I was able to stay healthy and enjoy the flight all the way without being killed once. It was very fun and fluid, like a rolly coaster

Status : Offline | I continue to be amazed by this game, ..this is the most fun i have had with a game in a long time....it is so large and they lavished attention on areas and details that most games just ignore or never do on this scale...so you realy feel like you are IN this world or worlds...
Boots is really funny too, we made it back to Sender after a tough time, and he is relaxing at the Commerce Bar having a much needed fluid refreshment.... or should i say refreshments...

and we get to see an area that is just a hoot, it is so funny and imaginative and beautiful in terms of colour and light.....speaking of the Red Light District hidden beneath the tunnels of Sender....

Boots has some amazing and really fun adventures....and even finds a Saint risking her status to venture into the depths...

first side quest that i have not been able to complete.... and also i did not see the detective in the third location he was supposed to be in, he was in the hotel instead, i am hoping i just did not chat him up there before we left for Sunder, and maybe he will move to the correct place now.

i am having trouble finding the detective for him to give Boots the Mastser Lock skill, ..according to one walkthrough he is supposed to appear in the red light district but so far, ater we returned from Sunder etc...i saw him in the hotel but not anywhere after...
also Wanda's note does not apear to have survived in my inventory, will have to backtrack and try to find out what is up with that.
any one confirm the detective location for his third quest?
