Frustrated by my utter inability to recognize any of the quotes in the "other" movie thread - caused by the simple fact that I've never even seen most of them - I thought I might start another thread about less well known movies (that Ihave seen, curiously enough).

So here are the first two - should be very very easy to recognize:

1. "She turned me into a newt!"

2. "I'm not even supposed to be here!"
I forgot my sig.

1 Monty python and the Holy Grail

2 Clerks???

The second one is just a guess

Resistance is not futile, we're gonna win this thing, humankind is too good, we're not a bunch of under-achievers! We're gonna stand up, and we're gonna be human beings. We're going to get fired up about the real things, the things that matter! Creativity, and the dynamic human spirit that refuses to submit.

Finally! Quotes from not that mainstream movies!

(Oh, well, in the other incredibly long thread there were quotes from movies not mainstream at all
)

And to Godfather, (who types faster than I
) :
I eat punks like you for breakfast
"Archaeology Today"? I thought this movie belongs to this topic... :

OK, Godfather's answers were correct. So here's two more - one very easy, one perhaps not so easy:

1.  "No pleasure, no rapture, no exquisite sin greater than central
air."

2. "As far as we know, she's the last remaining original!"

And here's another easy one from a very excellent movie:

"I came into this game for the action, the excitement. Go anywhere, travel light, get in, get out, wherever there's trouble, a man alone."

Bonus points for posting the occupation of the person who said this

And, of course, we're talking of Harry Tuttle, air-conditioner specialist.

BTW did you like the movie?

Since when is Monty Python 'less wellknown' ? In the Netherlands (at least most people I know) quote each other to death with MP-quotes....

And how about this - for even more bonus points, which role wanted Robert DeNiro in that movie?

Michael Palin's role. Can't remember the character's name anymore though ...   :-/ It's been quite a while since I've last seen this one.

Only in the sense that it's not what you usually see in big theatres.

In the Netherlands (at least most people I know) quote each other to death with MP-quotes....

Well, yeah, I do that too, but I've never considered myself to be a "typical" person

So what's the air speed of an unladed swallow?

You would be over here
! Ah, there's nothing better than bursting out in a powerful '10, 10, me with a poor dying grandmother, 10?' after hearing the word '10' of course ... (even in Dutch
).

Here's another quote from a not-so-well-known yet excellent movie:

"Now watch closely everyone - I'm going to show you how to kill a god. A god of life and death."

By "celeb fest" you mean the voiceover actors I suppose? Anyway of course the answer is correct, the quote is indeed from Mononoke Hime
