Hey - just wanted to hear from all of you about some JA reviews that you really didnt agree with. No offense to any reviewers here - you're all great guys (and girls) and I really have to search to find a review that isn't nail-head-hammer.

However, I personally disagree with the sanitarium review. The story was acceptable, but the inventory based puzzles were just terrible. The game is extraordinary linear, too. The game is played as a series of 8 chapters that are only 30 min - 3 hours of gameplay each. That's not considering time spent stuck on a puzzle, but they're so easy, that really shouldnt be a problem. The fact that you always have a very limited space to explore at a time makes the puzzles even moreso easier. The only time I got stuck was during a pixel hunt puzzle where I needed to find one small stone on my computer screen in the middle of a medium sized village. Not particularly my idea of fun. The dialogue is rather boring, but saved by the fun voice acting. The dialogue gets REALLY tedious in a particular chapter that takes place in an Aztec village (I can hear groans of sanitarium players reading this everywhere).
I left a whole bunch of stuff out. Sue me.

According to me, Sanitarium gets a B-
That's my $0.02 . Anybody else have any differing opinions regarding a particular JA review?

First I have to agree with you - most reviews here are great.
To answer you question that review would have to be Egypt II The Heliopolis Prophecy. The game got an A+.
I couldn´t belive my eyes when I saw that. I didn´t like anything about that game. The only thing that made the game interesting was that you could smile from time to time at the baaad voice acting.

Hmmm... well, there's a few that I thought were a little off-the-ball, but not by much (the usual, giving C's where I'd give D's, and so on). But as for totally disagree... nah, not really.

The reviews of the first two Monkey Island Games spring to mind.

I disagreed with the "Zero Critical" review.  It had its problems, but it certainly did not deserve an F!  The graphics were quite nice and the storyline was interesting enough to make me want to continue.  Those alone should have driven it up a few grades.  I would have given it a C- at least.

I have to agree with Hagstrumpa here; A+ for Egypt 2!? come oooon...

But still worse; A
for Aztec from both Tom and Ray! And from the same developer; China recieves an A-...

I would actually rather play The Daedalus Encounter four times in a row before playing any of those four games again.

Love the other reveiews though and generally agree with them.
