It was too much trouble to go and find them yesterday, but now that things are back to normal I will hunt them down.

Now that is what I call zealous cleaning - rubbing so hard that the stickies come loose.. :

I'll be sure to use a less abrasive cleaner next time, Traveller.

Do you mean there was a time that they didn't? Ever since I started visiting JA (even before I joined), Valadmin and Agent Brea and then Karla and now Don had names.
..or am I making a fool of myself here because that is somehow meant as a joke? :-[ err... :-? Is this something from pre-P&R times that I'm not getting?

I used to share your confusion at first, but the "Staff" are actually the moderators, I believe, while the ones with names are the website maintenance staff. I agree that the "staff" designation is a bit confusing, but you will see there is a difference in the ranks. If the rank says "administrator" those are the guys that run the technical aspect of the website - the website itself, and then of course the moderators are what Shadow likes to call the "police" . :
To that I have to add that personally, I must say that I think this site has the best moderators of any forum I've visited; and I suppose it would be correct to say that because of them ( and of course Randy's general approach) is the reason I love and visit this site so much.
One doesn't really feel restricted (except for the religion and politics, and I do understand the reasons for that) and yet they do prevent the place from disintegrating into a slum.
8-) Nice! [smiley=clap.gif]
Um, not to say that you are not also an excellent moderator over at the other place, Inland :-* Heck for all I know you're even one of the mods here, and putting up a good show of hiding it...

It is nice to be able to post in a clean well lighted place.
A truly moveable feast.
