The tower of Schizm 2 works like a maze in 3d, unconventional but annoying nevertheless > Champions of Xanth has one, but there's the automap

(It sure felt like one to me, anyway...

I'm not sure the path through the woods that Holmes has to go back and forwards to put out a fire qualifies as a 'Maze' exactly, or were you referring to something else?

AND I sudder in horror to remember a game which had a maze that turned you upside down. I have a mental block recalling the name of the game.

Gee, well..- if you do it without any help, it most definitely feels like a maze. Why not a maze? It as all the elements of one, as far as I'm concerned.. I had to redo this one many times, and only got it right when I plotted the necessary course on a piece of paper.
Maybe you just have a better directional memory than I have.... [smiley=whistle.gif]

Arthur: The Quest for Excalibur has a nice variation, all the locations are the same and you have no objects to drop Spoiler AlertYou have to scratch the ground to be able to distinguish them

Even if it doesn't, Still Life had the sewer maze, which was thankfully very easy.
Tales of Monkey Island had about four forest mazes. Though they were more of a regular puzzle most of the time. Only one had you remembering a path.
Machinarium had a maze which was also an action sequence. It made for such a boring puzzle, right near the end of the game.
