Perhaps some of you 'older' members can help me out. I think I played this game in the 80s on my ancient Atari 512 and the words 'boots' and 'voodoo' seem to come to mind, but here's a description.
Your little character could jump and squash insects etc with his boots and when he found a machete he could slice his way through a jungle looking to enter 5 temples (usually pyramid shaped) as well as some sub quests in the jungle, such as finding a cub for a lioness. Each of these temples were huge and generally contained teleport circles, hexagonal shaped rooms that sometimes contained rocks that could be pushed to open up other doors - and had to find a certain number of jewels to present to the 'king' of each temple before he could leave. Each King was some type of creature, such as a spider in the temple full of spiders, a snake in a temple full of snakes etc.
I can remember a snow filled area with birds and horrible jumps over rivers etc, plus pushing rocks etc out of your path in order to continue, and the final part was walking through a maze of paths that were blocked in places by coloured blocks that you had to 'lift' by pushing levers that opened certain colours at the beginning of the paths.
Any clues to the name of this game anybody?
