Status : Offline | I finally got into the patcher download which apparently stalled at 20 hours 29 minutes (it started out as over 2 days). Just above the progress bar it says "Shutting Down..." and nothing is moving.
So...I guess I'll just join the folks who are waiting for a more opportune time to do this.

Status : Offline | They just did "something" and I got in smoothly and actually joined in a conversation with Rand and other explorers in the Cavern. He said that the front end was just boosted, so keep trying

Status : Offline | Cyan explained tonight thru Rand Miller the CEO and creator of URU that they moved things to a larger cloud of servers. This is taking time to adjust and stablize. It is better and faster but we lasted barely an hour with a growing number of explorers in the city before it shut down. Be patient please. they are working hard on it and things will get better. the download and sign up will work , just give it time.
This has been years in the deveopment and is a miracle of love and creativity and worth the wait.

I am sorry to have not been around to post more here recetly i have been helping with the opening of MOUL and have been moderating a chat room and other resources in support of it for a year and a half now. This has taken a lot of my time. But what i share here is the latest and most accurate info i know of from first hand experinece and it is a pleasure to share here.
Hope you all will forgive my absence but it is a very busy time. I have not meant to be a fair weather poster and vanisher. I will try to come as i can. But this is a project dear to my heart and one i think is one of the most unusual in game history.

Status : Offline | I've managed to get the up-to-date client code and get as far as the log-in form before I run into a wall. It seems the server handling authentication is down, but it's progress nevertheless.

When you start out, it will be with a clean install of the game, so none of your progress will have been saved. This is not the same server or account you had before.
However, the game should have everything included as an option that was implemented as of the shutdown, so you can go back and get your shirt again.

Status : Offline | Here is the current situation: 3000 ppl have been trying to get the download, and others have already gotten in. I dont know how many but would estimate from what I saw Mon and Tuesday maybe some 300-400 ..some 30 Bevins created i thnk.
So Cyan has had to disable log ons and downloads for now. They are making a new build and a new installer and will put them up with mirrors tomorrow. Please do not use or trust any mirrors or torrents that maybe advertised or promoted, some of them have corrupted files in them.

We are in the process of creating a different installation method that will utilize several mirror sites. It will take at least a day for them to get up and running. We will update with specific information when it is available.
We are also creating a new build to help separate the people trying to get the datafiles from the people who have the data and are trying to get into the game.
We have roughly 3,000 people all trying to get the data. (Thanks!)
Note to those waiting for your password setup emails: As many of you waiting for your emails have discovered, some service providers are not delivering our password setup emails, because they consider them to be spam. Users with Comcast addresses seem to be the emails that are bouncing back to us the most as undeliverable, but there are others. One user posted a work around. However, the work around will not work until the servers are back up. You'll just get an error page if the server is down.
UPDATE: 2:30 PM Wednesday
If you have already got the previous installer and have completely downloaded the game already then you don't need the new installer.
The new installer will have most of the client data in it (it is about 1.2 GB). So, if you have not previously downloaded the installer *or* you have not completed the download of the game using UruLauncher.exe (and you still have hours left) then you will want to get the new installer.

And as i keep saying and will keep saying, this is a totally NEW MOUL, not connected to the MOUL of Game Tap or any form of URU. Much to Enjoy and look forward to. We are all starting over together. All the collectiables and clothing and Relto pages are present and working.
