1. I think it was Companions of Xanth.
2. One such game was System Shock but there could be more.
3. If an inflatable duck counts, The Longest Journey.
5. Mystery of the Druids.
7. Broken Sword 1.
8. Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders.
10. I'm pretty sure I've played more than one such game but right now I can't remember any

Also in monkey island 4 you can carry a duck.

- Discworld 1 - The Longest Journey (how could I forget??) - Amazon: Guardians Of Eden - Broken Sword 2
The list is probably incomplete. Looks like worms are pretty popular in adventures

Moderators, is there some way to make the filtering software a little less aggressive? Please?

Starship Titanic (There's a kazoo in another game besides this and Zak McKraken 9. Definitely Duckman since I just beat it 10. Hopkins FBI and TLJ

So Hopkins FBI eh? I don't remember that detail, but it fits in Hopkins FBI was one heck of a weird game. Kinda cool really. Still, in System Shock you needed to carry a human head as well - to get past a security scanner.
In Fallout 2 it was sufficient to carry just human eyes, no need to lug around an entire head. Those things are heavy.
Oh waitaminute. Monkey Island I. Eadhay of the Avigatornay. Dried, but still human. You had to carry it to get to LeChuck's ghost ship.

#1 is still in the air, though. An extremely popular game, part of a series. In the end of the game, the guy gets the girl
Out of curiosity, what do you think is the most popular inventory object (forgetting about keys and books)
Black holes are where God divided by zero

Most popular object? In the old Sierra games I bet it was pocket lint Other than that... wallets/money, letters or messages. Sometimes weapons.
