Ah, finally! Someone who shares my opinion of Pizza Hut pizza. Just about everyone I know likes it a lot, but I can't stomach the stuff.

But with high fat meals like pizza, I do need something to 'cut' the grease.

Status : Online | Wow! Tuna, salmon, and caviar... on pizza! That was eye-opening!
I wonder what would happen if the caviar grew up. :-?
Thanks for all the posts. Given me a lot of new things to think about... and then eat!
Got two more questions for you, gang...
Anyone like those two-layered pizzas or stuffed pizza? Or the stuffed crust? Never tried one myself.
And second, what about the square Siclian (spell?) pizzas?
Ok... SO... I've got more than two questions... sorry... But ain't we having fun?
What about calzones or stromboli? (Just what is a stromboli anyhow? ... just heard of it.)
And then there are those French Bread pizzas. I've heard them called "Tombstone" pizzas before. We like them... one of the only frozen foods we like. Making pizzas at home is a pain because of the sauce, but we have been known to use our killer spagetti sauce as a substitute.
Or bail out to pizza quick sauce... but hey, we cut our own pepperoni. :
And... pizza made on pita bread goes over great here. Pizza on English muffins is perhaps a bit trickier... but good.
I have heard that in Italy a pizza is just the size of the plate, and usually without tomato sauce. You just order the toppings and it's nothing like pizza in the USA.
C'mon people, tell me more!
Does hand-tossed really make a difference? Does anywhere still hand-toss pizza dough way up in the air? Haven't seen that since I was a kid. (That's a long time, indeed.)
What about the whole Chicago vs. New York thing?
Just what defines each? I just really want to know. I belive Chicago is thick like pan pizza and New York is thin and greasy (in an excellent way ).
Don't let me down... this is important... Whatever would I eat with a good point-n-clicker?
Just adventuring... Come here often?... Can I buy you a drink? 8-)
I've seen many clever, intelligent signatures.&&This isn't one of them.

As I practically live down the proverbial street from you, I took this as a recommendation and went to visit this "Carminos". I got a large double cheese/double mushroom pizza. I concur - that's some damn good pizza Helen! I also got a meatball sub to take home which I just heated up and finished this morning (if you can call waking up at 12:30 in the afternoon "morning" : ). Even being a day old it was a damn good sub. The meatballs were exceedingly good. I hate when they taste like sawdust, but these were very juicy and full of flavor.
Normally my favorite is philly cheesesteak pizza from Dominos.
Put me on the weird list who those who enjoy Pineapply and ham on the pizza. Believe it or not, a touch of cinnamon on that one kicks it up a few more notches.
I'll also join the ranks of Pizza Hut haters. The cheese is way too greasy.
The pizza I yearn for is just plain cheese from Loveys in Hasbrook Heights New Jersey. My mother used to work there when I was a kid. The closest I have found is the plain cheese pizza from SBarro's. SBarro's is a pizza place found in practically every mall and airport here in the U.S.

You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

I have been to Italy, and when I ordered a pizza there (when you go to Italy, you have to try one, right?) I got one that was quite similar to what i'm used to. It had tomato sauce and the usual things, nothing special about it. They did put some Eruca sativa (I can't find a proper English name for it, wikipedia only lists it as Eruca sativa) on it once it was out of the oven, and it worked surprisingly well.

I was so puzzled by this name that I looked it up on Wikipedia and immediately saw that it was also listed as rocket. That's the name we English speakers know it as. The Americans call it arugula. [smiley=shrug.gif]

True, though I've seen "rocket" appear as a sort of subtitle on arugula seed packets. But yeah, I've never heard anyone actually refer to it as rocket around here.

I've been trying to convince my better half, that I absolutely need a pizza oven in the back yard - I mean, how cool would that be?
