In my most recent memory - having to kill Shella in Shannara. That really got me.
The cave snack scene in GK2. And the opera sequence in GK2.
The ending of GK3, explaining why Schattenjaegers exist.
Pretty much all of Ultima VII - Serpent Isle.
Winning Fallout 2.
I forgot my sig.

I loved every second of the game until the last bit, first those action sequences and then she (Jane) has to emphasize the religion aspect. I don't mind a minor undertone (there is in all 3 parts of it) but she went a bit too far for my liking there.

I forgot another one but it comes with a little background story. I was totally freaked out by an old 80's game, one of the all-time RPG classics, Wasteland. I cannot begin to explain you how much I liked this game. There was a little town near the beginning of the game where you had to solve some simple tasks like getting rid of some vermin. Now, I remember saying to myself how good it would be to have a remake of this game. Especially in *isometric* view (I dunno why I like so much that format). Well, it took near 10 years but the day I saw Fallout standing in a shelve I almost fainted. I buyed it, rushed out to my home, turned down the lights, pumped up the volume and PLAY IT! Now here comes my best gaming moment: When you enter Shady Sands with that haunting tribal music in the background. Its to this day that I feel I actually *saw* the men and women toasted by the scorching sun in that arid town with the dessert wind blowing my face. I dunno... it was very vivid and I was quite excited by this game. One note : Shady Sands would be the "modern" version of that little town I told you in Wasteland.

But that's not what I meant by "ending".

I didn't think she went too far. For me it was just latching onto a very old story that also happens to play an important role in certain religion.

-Typing my first phrase in 1986 when playing a text adventure on Spectrum: "Take keys". -Finally getting un-stuck in Uninvited after 6 months (!) of frustration. No internet full of walkthroughs back then (1989) you see (not that I usually use them). -The whole Monkey Island 2 experience which took adventure gaming to a different level for me. -Ah, Outcast. The ending was brilliant. The only action-adventure I love. -Non-adventure moment: Winning the Kick Off 2 World Championship last year in Dartford, UK.

And this was just a week or 2 after having played Doom for the first time. It was the beginning of a great new era for me which continues......
Even now, one moment I'm causing major damage in Medal of Honor and the next I'm rotating the Pillared Star Chamber in Riven (which I'm getting to for the first time for reasons I don't even understand ).

The future ain't what it used to be!

- Finishing Soulbringer. Absolutely amazing. Few games have such good endings.
- Finishing Reah. What a shock.
- Finishing Blade Runner.
- Katrina sacrificing herself in Quest for Glory IV.
- Asking Erana to marry me in Quest for Glory V.
- Killing Barthelago in Soulbringer ... bastard ...
- the attack upon Tortalaran and the fight against Lightstealer in Soulbringer

| Deleted User | Alkis21, I'm still thinking of my favourite all-time moment but, YES ! . . . . the end of Outcast was absolutely superb, including the credit sequence when they are all dancing ! That had me rolling. It was a great end to a great game, and left you gagging for the sequel which, BTW is still on hold as far as I know ??

The moment in Titanic: Adventure Out of Time when you learn that an object in your possession is not unique. That is, there is another object just like it somewhere else on the boat and that other object can't remain where it is.
One of those moments when the game world you thought you knew suddenly becomes much larger and you have considerably more to do.

All Adventure games are my best moments, but the best moment ever ocurred in a first person shooter called OpFla (Operation Flashpoint).
OPFla is a military FPS with a lot of vehicle simulation. You can drive all vehicles (jeeps, cars, tanks, planes, choppers) and shoot if they have guns.
(This was in multiplayer) What I did was fly in a chopper and accidently pushed the eject button such that I fell into the forrest. The server had disabled the AutomaticShowing of players on map, and I had no idea where I was. I was trying to use the compass and look at the contours on the map and wandered around. I stayed within the treeline so that enemies couldn't see me.
Finally I found a village, and an empty APC just sitting there. (I guessed it was empty) I finally got the APC and it was empty and functional. I got in it and started driving south and amazing passed another APC going north. The game did not say if it was an enemy or not such that I stopped driving and turned back to the village. I stopped the APC and got out and ran up the base of the mountain. The trees didn't start for about 150ft from the base. I decided to go prone(lie belly down) in some bushes affix my aim on my APC (I had an m16). I waited for about 45seconds and the guy I had passed came back.
He drove around the village and found my APC and looked around. He finally decided to get out and run toward my APC, which was about 40ft away. He ran to it and got in and decided that I was gone and he didn't want that APC.(Oh the other thing I just remembered was that we were playing capture the flag and he had my sides flag.) He got out and started running toward his APC, but just as he was about 1/3 away from it I fired 1 bullet into his head, and BAM he was down. I returned the flag and took his APC.
The most intense piece of my gaming history. I went from flying high to getting lost in a huge virtual forrest to mounting an outstanding ambush.
Just shows you that, "Shiny metal objects do attract people."
