You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

So that's what I'm playing now and already am understanding why almost everyone raves about it. In fact, it seems as if many would envy me the experience of playing Riven for the first time!

The future ain't what it used to be!

Status : Online | Hi all,
I am playing: 1. Morpheus, an older game. Happily, it runs on both my WinMe and my WinXP machine. I'm enjoying it. The visuals are still nice enought to look at, for me, and it's a very evocative game.
2. Sanitarium. For some reason, I tend to play this only when I travel. I think I'm on "chapter 2". It's somewhat of a scary game. I'm enjoying it. It's also an older game.
3. Morrowind - a non-adventure game. As Red remarked, I think I'll be playing this for the rest of my life. It's a beautiful game, and I have wanted to play it for a long time, but for a non RPG player, it's rather daunting.
Next adventure game I will play - Lochness, also called The Cameron Files, Secrets at Lochness. I'd like to get this done before The Cameron Files II comes out! I loaded it, but haven't gotten into it.
Last adventure game I completed - Syberia. I loved it.
Very good thread - thanks bistro.
Regards, mszv

And Very addicting..... Hmm.......(looks around at her games), I really do need to start another adventure game, you get that craving to play one......you know? I've already played most of the good ones, finished 'Gilbert Goodmate' couple weeks ago.......don't know which one to start now. Any ideas? I want to get that new game Tony Tough. And maybe try Syberia. :-*

For those who are playing NOLF 2 - how is it? I loved the first game - but heard they cut way back on the funny bad guy dialogues and the cut scenes. Plus they have a new actress doing the voice of our heroine. Is it as good as the first? Better? gutted?
I was pumped to get it - now I am on the fence. Help me out here guys

I then installed Armed & Delirious but it won't run (GOTO Tech Help section and see my post so that you can help me.)
Such that I have nothing to play but C & C Renegade until I get GK1&3, Dark Side of the Moon, and Last Express shipped to be from my mom.
But next week Tony Tough will be here and then FUN FUNFUN... yeah
Adventurers who played Gilbert: is it worth it to buy the game?

Yes there are less (and shorter) cutscenes which is a dissapointment, as the story suffers as a result. Also it is MUCH shorter than the first game and has less memorable set pieces (like the free-fall gun battle from the first game, for example).
Still, it is a REALLY fun game and it has a lot of interesting adventure style elements and puzzles as well as a much improves stealth system (you never instantly lose a mission by being spotted)
As far as voice acting goes there are a lot of different actors used but I have to say i prefer the new Kate's voice (even though the old one was more Scottish). A lot of the voices are the same (Magnus, Santa, Bruno, etc)

So, now I just started Escape from Monkey Island now that it's a bargain bin game. Also, I've been playing Pleurghburg - Dark Ages. And I just started the old game Quantum Gate, but I'm not sure if I'll even be able to bear to play it. The style drives me nuts.
