Just how did you abuse that walkthru? Tear it up? Spit on it? Throw it in the toilet?

Be honest now!

The future ain't what it used to be!

As for me, I mostly finish my games within several weeks or some within several months but never over a year. YES! I use walkthroughs but I never use cheats. I don't know if there's one in adventure games. CHeats are no fun.

The reason I use walkthroughs is because I don't have patients..somewhat like dombrewer. Dude, don;t be too hard on yourself. You're not as bad as you think you are.

ALthough for somepeople using a walkthough is not enjoyable but I don't use it all the time. It's just that I've become gready and want to buy every game new and old.(Adventure games).

I still haven't touched any text adventures . Maybe I should? There seems to be more interesting graphic (old and new) adventures to finish. Although I do find some old adventure games are waaay to short and I could play it without using a walkthrough but there are also new games that are short these days which are easy and no walkthrough is needed.

The majority of replies were all concerning games like DOTT, games which, although were short shall always have a place in our hearts!
If anyone wants to take it up - feel free!

The very first adventure games I ever played was a text based trilogy called Hugos House of Horrors. It was a cute but fun game that really got me interested in the genre. I,ve never heard the game mentioned anywhere.    Wondering if anyone else has ever played it?

We may have years, we may have hours, but sooner or later we push up flowers.

Yes! I'm not sure if I played all three but I'm pretty sure I played at least the first two. Those were fun games.

I played the second one, when the character's plane fall down in the jungle. Though I played the DOS version a couple of months ago a forum member spoke about a windows version and posted some screenshots of it.
