Hey does that happen where you live (England I believe). ? I have been cursing the Israeli TV cable Company for ages since I thought it was only here that they took liberties.
It drives us crazy. My wife suffers from tinnitus and I am getting a bit hard of hearing. So I turn the volume up for most programs and then those that carry commercials add hundreds of decibels and she goes bananas so I turn it to ½ volume --- and after a while the program restarts and I can't hear the speech --- so I turn it uip again ------- and so on !
As far as possible, we record programs so that we can skip over the commercials ENTIRELY which on occasion last 10 minutes and drive us nuts ! Seems they are shooting themselves in the foot ?!?

Guess they want to make sure they have our attention. >
And then there are certain stations that are just lower than others and seems like Im always having to adjust the volume. :-/

You usually have a window of freedom from about 21/2 minutes to 4 1/4 minutes to do your thing.

Mark, Black Sheep is one excellent trashy movie. Highly recommended. 8-)

However.... I was looking through some very old threads here yesterday and I came across a face in a crowd that reminded me of you... there, hiding behind the glass....
