As for XerNosam, I've finally managed to place the picture. It's World war II: prisoner of war. It was the interface that was the telling part.
I'm so sure of my guess (I compared it to a few screenshots to be sure), so I'll post another picture. This is an interesting game. It really shows the horrible side of war. It is also one of the few games that does not portray the German solders themselves as the "bad guys" (but their leader are still very much "bad guys". In fact the game almost makes you feel bad about killing people. I cropped out the interface, as it was a bit too telling.

I'll post a new one momentarily.
Playing: Skyrim: Dragonborn/Dawnguard; Torchlight 2; To The Moon; Far Cry 3
Finished: HomeFront; Far Cry 3; Dishonored
Always Playing: Half Life 2
Looking Forward To: BioShock: Infinite
Reading: BioShock: Rapture; SW: Revan

Oh, and could someone take Stiler's place?

Not Rune, but you're very close with the Viking thing. It's one of my own shots, so you won't find it anywhere online.

Heh, that explains why a quick search on Mobygames didn't seem to point to Rune... but I decided to give it a try, anyway!
Humm...then, how about a little help here... what kind of genre is this?

...and I played it under my previous "Traveller" incarnation, and posted about it back then... [smiley=devil_smiley_grintail.gif] [smiley=whistle.gif]

It's an action RPG with 3 different campaigns from 3 different parts of the world. The name of the game is taken from the Norse campaign though.
