What do the rest of you think?
At first I thought it sounded a little complicated, but I understand now. Sounds fine. Of course once the official ByLaws are properly drawn up it will all be crystal clear.

EDIT: Dang, one has to be Flash Gordon when SuperEdy is around... -I guess that's where the "Super" part of SuperEdy comes in, huh?
PS: Please try and remember to mention platform and genre, guys...

Correct and yes, that one was supposed to be easy.
More importantly, the game was a blast to play and the Teensies made me LOL.
Cheers, Terry
P.S. Do we really have to name the platform and genre?

Here's another PC game I loved. This time a third-person shooter.
Oh, and no fair right clicking on the pics to read the read the image names / tags or trace the host site.

I know that one (It's one of my fav old school action adventures).
Just wondering though, if we already guessed one what about another? lol we are mucking this idea up so I'll leave it be for now on that.
Here is my pics: 1. My favorite RTS game, from the late 90's:
2. Another favorite action adventure game of mine, late 90's. Was a blast playing online. (If you liked Drakan, or the game from Thaumaturge's post then you'll like it):

Terry, I see you are using photobucket. Photobucket must have caught on to the fact that people are using them for guessing games, because they now have a function where you can click an option for your filename to show up scrambled on the sites that the pics are hosted at. It simply makes it too easy to guess if you do have the name showing clearly in your post....
...like this last one , a 3rd person action game, the first of two games on the same theme, was pretty easy for me to find.
Cheers, Terry
P.S. Do we really have to name the platform and genre? Well, it does help to make the thread more informative... - as long as one names them correctly, of course. Obviously it serves no purpose if the game is available on multiple platforms, but, for instance, it will be useful to mention the platform if the game is exclusive to that platform, like PC only, or SNES only.

Yes, I do think the best for now, would be just to roll with it, and see what happens, Stiler. It's no use trying to force it into a direction that the participants don't enjoy. It's important that it must be an enjoyable excercise, otherwise no-one will want to do it.....
I had originally meant for it to play like a traditional guessing game, where you post once you have guessed correctly, but this structure might also be fun, where people post more or less when they have the urge to, and others guess when they feel like it. If you guys want to, we could play it like this: You get a point every time you are the first to guess a game correctly, almost like a tournament. But that will only become fair and viable once the participants have praticed their posting and concealing skills a bit, and have caught on to the fact that they should hide names in the filenames and crop names out of the pics themselves..
Oh, and PS - am I the only one who only see little crosses instead of Stiler's pictures? Can everybody else see Stilers' pics?

I'm seeing the notorious Little Red X's too, Traveller.
Oh, and where is the Photobucket option to scramble image names?

Hmm, I've just investigated, and I'm wondering now if I'm not confusing Photobucket with Imageshack, since I use both. I now strongly suspect that it might have been Imageshack, as I checked my own first post in this thread, which was from Photobucket, and I see it's not scrambled, so it must be Imageshack then... oooops! Sorry 'bout that!
I'll check out Image shack and let you know.. -let's see - to make it my turn, Terry's last image is from Drakan: Order of the Flame, a nice action game where you can ride on dragons, which I have been struggling to get to work in XP for about a year now....

| Deleted User | Ok, I'm hosting the next multi-platform Action RPG picture, from Imageshack, so let's see if it scrambles - my file name was "4eight"

It would be a pity, actually, since I find Photobucket much easier and faster to use..- it uploads faster too.
Hmmm- now I'm puzzled - this one doesn't seem to scramble either... :-?
I shall get back to you on this, Terry... [smiley=detective.gif]
Of course, you could simply change the file name manually - when you save the pic to your hard drive, simply choose "save as" instead of save, and use your own cryptic name.., or use Win Explorer to change your filename.

| Deleted User | Phew, I just knew I wasn't going mad! I remember clicking an option that I always want my filenames scrambled, and I went now to check in the other thread where I had posted a lot of screenies, and they are scrambled there, indeed -
This image, http://justadventure.com/yabb/YaBB.pl?num=1240058809/829#829 had been scrambled to show as:
i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn305/jeniho/6dfa40da.jpg
I never give my files names like ' 6dfa40da.jpg '
I checked a few others too, and they are also scrambled.
Now, to figure out where the 'scramble' option is hiding..
Whoo-hoo! I found it! As you are about to upload your image, in the block where you click to "browse" for your image, you will see a blue caption in the bottom right-hand corner, next to the little "reduce to" tab; that says: "More options"
Click on that, and a new menu opens. Right at the bottom, you will see an option: Other options: and a little checkbox with : Scramble filenames so nobody can guess your links.
Check the checkbox, and you're good to go! 8-)

Oops, sorry! Mine's a melee-combat action game for the PC (I'm not sure of whether it was ever released for another platform, I'm afraid).
Stiler, I'm afraid that I don't see your pictures either. :/
[edit]I found the links in the page source (nice names, by the way, especially in light of the below quote ), and tried to follow them directly, only to receive an error page that read to the effect of "Image not found" (if not in those words themselves).[/edit]
Oh, and no fair right clicking on the pics to read the read the image names / tags or trace the host site.

I would also guess Myth or Myth 2 for Stiler's top pic and possibly Rune for his the lower pic.

Rune i did not even now about...- so you guys say that this Rune is a nice game? I'll have to investigate. It even looks nice graphically. Is there an offline SP option for it?

Yes, Rune has a full SP game with a solid MP mode. I believe it used the original Unreal Engine (to great effect).
Cheers, Terry
P.S. You play as Ragnar the Viking.

The first pic is from Myth II (my favorite of the series, still play it online from time to time).
Second pic is from Rune.

Oh yes, it has a full Single player storyline and everything. The MP was a blast back in the day, playing in the arena or co op (co op was done through a mod/patch).
It's right up your alley if you like games like Drakan, Severance, DBTS, etc.
