Hello good peoples of JustAdventure. I'm stopping by today to let you know of a special little event I'm holding in January 2010, for people like you, me and even your pops.

After seeing various IF type events with a million old Sierra employees as attendees, but sadly falling through, I thought it would be best to bring this kind of "meet and greet" to the UK for a trial run.

AdventureX is a chance for fans and adventure game developers to come together, admire each others works, have a chat and listen to some fascinating information. It's a chance for any indie adventure game developer, whether they're making games freeware or for sale, to come and meet others doing the same thing - and possibly also the people playing their games.

But of course, to make it even more interesting, some of the great names in Adventure game development will be there to chat about their roles in game making and perhaps what they have in store for the future.

Here's a preliminary look at the line-up. The people who's names are BIG are more than happy to attend, it just depends if YOU are going to attend and make the ticketsales help fly them across the pond. The names in small are "possible", awaiting more news and more importantly, YOU to sign up with your interest

(early version, guests in small font TBC, its just a bloody jpg not malware!!
)

The event, which will take place on 16th and 17th January somewhere yet to be confirmed in London - is a trial and if popular it'll be bigger and better in 2011.

I've only approached this site, AGS and AdventureGamers first to drum up some underground interest, and essentially, give you the chance to register for a ticket in advance before hundreds upon millions of other people do (fat chance!!
)

The official website will be up in mid-July, theres a place-holdery crap one at the address in the picture above.

So, if you're interested - even mildly - I just need you to make a reservation even if you're uncertain you'll attend. It's about me getting numbers so I can go back to all the guest speakers and say, hey, we're gauranteed enough people to make you waste the time to come

If this event interests you, go register. You don't pay anything to register, it literally is 2 clicks and just fill in your name, email and country. If you do decide to go, you'll be able to buy a ticket later in the year. Registering does NOT cause an obligation for you to pay up for a ticket, I promise

If you want to know more, well, just write down your question here, I'll be happy to try and answer as soon as possible. Otherwise - well, I just hope to see you at the event!

I'll be approaching JA to see if they want to come along and either pimp JA.com or just conduct an interview with any of said guests.

If you make adventure games and you think you'll have something to show in Jan 2010, GET IN TOUCH with me!! I'd like to give you a table and a laptop to show off exactly what you're up to

Interest is growing in AdventureX, something I've been meaning to do since ECTS 2002, sh*t, thats a long time ago! Well, other than that - perhaps I'll see you at the event

Just a small update, for anyone who wants to know more about making an adventure game for themself - there will be daily tutorials on how to use AGS (adventure game studio) the free 2D engine and also DAGE (dog adventure game engine) which is a free 3D engine.

mOds - I deleted the link as there was apparently no such site.  Your link to your site via your profile comes up as blocked and a known "attack site".

While I doubt that you are trying anything underhanded here based on your previous posts and amount of time you have been a member, you might just want to get some things straightened out.
