I have been looking all over the internet the past few days for this game that I played a number of years ago. If this is the wrong section I apologize.

I can't remember very much about it, but what I do remember is:

The game cover was I believe yellow and it had a dark train on it.
It was very similar to Myst but set in a more real world setting.
It had a very steampunk feel to it.
I am fairly certain it was black and white or just really desaturated.
I can't remember the storyline but it involved a briefcase and a train.
I believe it was on mac, but having owned both a pc and a mac back then I am not 100% sure.

I am dying to play this again so any help would be much appreciated.

That's not it, but that is a very good game.

The one I am looking for has 3d rendered graphics like Myst. I am going to dig through all my old games later and see if I still have it.

I need to play this game again.  Ahhh what is it called...

EDIT: FOUND IT!!!!

It was Gadget.

Damn, I've been (figuratively) sitting on Gadget for like 12 years now.  I should give that a play through soon.  Too bad I bonked my win3.1 install for dosbox.  I think I got it to work under a Win98 virtual machine at some point though.

You really should play it. Definitely one of my all time favorites. I haven't played it since it came out in 93 so this is going to be a nice bit of nostalgia.

I have it running on my old machine that has Windows 98 on it.

The most up to date version  -  "Gadget: Past as Future" (4 CD set) released by Cryo in 1998 is available from CDAccess at under $15 (plus postage).  Tested on XP, needs compatibility set to Win95.
