Hi everyone,

Tonite, I've started listing some of my older games on eBay again. I'll also be listing some newer games, like 'So Blonde', and some rarer Adventures that collectors might be interested in, in the next few days.

I'm accustomed to sending games all over the world, so international trading isn't a problem, and my eBay feedback is, so far, very good.

The prices I've put on p&p for sending overseas are inclusive of some form of tracking and signed for delivery. For anyone that knows me well, and that I know well from past friendly trades, I can possibly reduce this cost a bit. Signed For delivery is there for peace of mind on both sides of the trade.

The link to my eBay listing page here;.

 http://shop.ebay.co.uk/merchant/sniffer_dog_W0QQ_dmdZ1QQ_ipgZ50QQ_sopZ12?_rdc=1

Let me know if you have any problem seeing the list of games. I'm sniffer_dog on eBay.

All the games are originals, and they're all with boxes where available. I'll add picture links here if I get a chance. (Thanks to Nick for that idea
).

   So far listed;

[s]Discworld Noir[/s]                          (Big box plus manual).
[s]The Curse of Monkey Island[/s]       (Big box plus manual).
[s]Broken Sword : The Shadow of the Templars (aka Circle of Blood)[/s]       (Big box).
[s]Broken Sword : The Smoking Mirror[/s]       (Big box)
[s]The Secret of Monkey Island (Monkey Island 1)[/s]
 and;
 [s]Le Chuck's Revenge (Monkey Island 2)[/s]
[s]3 Skulls of the Toltecs[/s]       (Big box English version, complete with English (& multi-language), manual)
 [s]The Clue![/s]       (Big box hard-to-find English version with 92-page manual/book)
[s]Blue Heat : The Case of the Covergirl Murders[/s]       (Big box. Unopened. Sealed.)
[s]Ceremony of Innocence[/s]       (Big box. Unopened. Sealed.)
 [s]Total Distortion[/s]       (Big box. Sealed.)
[s]Runaway 2 : The Dream of the Turtle[/s]       (Box. Sealed.)
 [s]Fenimore Fillmore's Revenge[/s]       (Box. Sealed.)
[s]The Journey To Wild Divine : The Passage[/s]       (Cardboard wallet/case. Sealed.)
 [s]Huygen's Disclosure[/s]       (Boxed).
 [s]The Manhole[/s] (New Enhanced ed'n)       (CD-ROM with manual).
[s]So Blonde[/s]       (New in box with manual).
 [s]Stolen[/s]                                      (Unopened DVD box).
 [s]The Forgotten: It Begins[/s]
[s]Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis[/s]
[s]The Journeyman Project Trilogy[/s] (triple pack edition)
 [s]Piri the Explorer Ship[/s]
 [s]Limbo of the Lost[/s]

The following games did not, unfortunately (for me), sell. I will probably put them on eBay again soon, along with a couple more rarities, unless anyone wants to trade 'something interesting' with me.

The New Addams Family Series (rare console Adventure from Microids and 7the Sense Studios)       (Boxed).
Sherlock Holmes : The Mystery of the Mummy       (New and sealed in box).
Sherlock Holmes : The Case of the Silver Earring       (Boxed with manual).
The Black Mirror       (DVD -type box)
Runaway 2: The Dream of the Turtle
 Discworld Noir

Thanks to everyone who bought, or took a look.  :-*

Some more additions to the original list.

 Howdy GreyFuss!
I hope there are a few games that attract some keen eBay -ers out there. Demand for Adventures appears to have dropped off steadily on eBay in recent times. :

Wow Gelert

If these are the conditions of the games you want to get rid of, I would love to see the ones you are keeping.

Don't stop...keep them coming...more, more!

I'm interested in a couple, but those shipping prices are way too high for me. Any hope for standard airmail?

Hi Gonchi. I know the prices are high. I also know it's probably putting people off. I'm covering myself in case I end up having to pay more than the calculator is telling me. Unfortunately, this has happened to me a few times in the past . . . . and by large amounts.

All that I'll say is that I'll only be charging (once I know what it's actually cost me to send), what it actually costs me for shipping and a little for the packing. Any amount that's significantly over that I'll be more than happy to refund via PayPal. I've done this previously.

The only thing I'll insist on is that the games are sent with International Signed For delivery (a form of tracking), or, in a couple of cases, if any of the games sell well, with insurance or Airsure (better tracking for valuable items).

I hope you can understand that I need to know that I have evidence that the games have arrived. I've been stung in the past. On one occasion I lost out by £140 (pounds, not dollars), to one person involving 3 games. That hurt.

I can't see any other way to list shipping prices. If I knew a game was going to sell for a high price, I'd risk undercutting myself on shipping. But you just don't know on eBay anymore. I've sold a Blue Heat and a Dracula's Secret for less than US $20 in the last year or two. I realise that, with the way I describe shipping charges, that this may happen again. It's hard to know what to do.

What I don't understand is why, for some game purchases from the U.S. to the UK the shipping charge can be US $25 to US $28 (quite common, and I always query it with the seller), whilst, with other sellers, for similarly sized and weighted games, the shipping charge can be around US $16. Either way, shipping charges that I have to pay to get games from the US are generally higher.

In summary, I'll only charge what it costs for p&p when I know from the counter transaction. That means I'll refund if it's a lot different.

As it puts people off, though, I'm certainly open to any suggestion you, or anybody, may have for me listing the shipping differently, without it costing me. It's not possible for me to get cost estimates from Post Offices in advance, as I'm out in the sticks and even this has been unreliable (different), when I've done it in the past.

 Hope that helps.

 Gelert.

I'm not in the US, so no idea why. Most US video game sellers quote me $25+ to ship as well.

I don't know why tracking costs so much in the US and UK, here it's less than $1. A few years ago you used to be able to look up when a package arrived using the numbers on customs forms, but it doesn't seem to work any more.

I understand your stance but I find standard international shipping costs to be too high as it is, I'm not willing to pay priority shipping for a video game.

Thanks anyway.

Deleted UserHey Gonchi,  just to give you an example of what it would REALLY cost me in the US to ship to your location, here is an example.

Sounds like you are being royally screwed by these US game sellers.  Well below $10.00 if you chose First-Class International package.

As far as the extras, i.e. delivery confirmation, I can't comment since I usually buy from US sources and the UK.

 Hi Greyfuss.
I'm going to take the game you asked about, with the packing you'd require, down to the Post Office, so I'll soon have an accurate quote for you. Give me a couple of days. I'll use the same Post Office to send if you decide to bid, and win. I've sent you an Email explaining what I'm doing in full. There's a good chance it'll be less than my quote.

The reason I don't have accurate quotes for every game is that I'd only be confident if I did this for every game. As I may have already said, my quotes are almost certainly OVER estimates to cover my back.

I know this means I'm losing out on interested bidders. I'm willing to check in this way for people who ask though, and give them specific quotes where I can. Post Office visit, if necessary.

Anyone that asks me specifically should be at an advantage by knowing for sure.

I'm listing more games soon, if anyone's still interested. Some more hard-to-find ones included.

Hi Greyfuss plus anyone else that may find this useful.

I took a boxed CD-ROM game, that Greyfuss asked me about, down to the Post Office today. I packed it as if it was to be sent, and got it priced. I packed in a box (outer box), for protection, as Greyfuss asked. This is what it costs for what I was asked to price. Greyfuss. Forgive me for posting here as well. I needed to give an example of what I mean. I'm not mentioning the game.

 International Signed For delivery airmail.

 Airmail £6.27
 International Signed For £3.70
Extra insurance (above £39 value), as I regard this as a high value game £2.20

 Total = £12.17 (US $20.1

An equivalent game will less (probably less than the US $16 I mention in the eBay advert), if it's in padded envelope and without insurance.

Please note that I've included an outer box in this pricing plus additional insurance. International Signed For and airmail will be the case for all sales, but airmail will be LESS if a padded envelope is used for shipping.

The only reason I use ISF (International Signed For), is because eBay has changed its rules. A seller can no longer leave negative feedack for a buyer meaning that a buyer can say that they haven't received a game and clim back the money they paid even if they've received the game. I've sent a few games where the buyer denied having received the game and I couldn't prove that they had. Only by having the game signed for on delivery can I safeguard myself against this. As I said, I lost out on £140 on one occasion. This is why I want the game trackable to its destination. Please put yourself in my shoes.

As I've already said, though, if you've traded with me previously and we have a good relationship through trading, I'm willing to consider forgoing ISF for less valuable games.

Please understand my position. If this means I lose out on getting many people bidding for games like 3 Skulls of the Toltecs, Blue Heat, Piri The Explorer Ship or Limbo of the Lost then I'm prepared to accept this.

 Thanks for your understanding.

 Gelert.
