Game style looks like Rama, and found a similar game in the review here on JA. Screenshots seem to match so => The arrival?

The game is Sci-Fi but not Rama or The Arrival which are both games I loved. This game does not have a review that I can find here at JA nor is it mentioned in the JAVE

That's a cryin' shame for the place where you live - Riven - doesn't have a copy of Physicus.
Surely that somewhat academic little game is no match for those Cyan folks. There's no competition between, say Chemicus and Myst III, is there?
Hey, you! Yes, you. That game and bookstore in Riven! It's time to broaden your inventory, or we'll just have to go to G.O.G. or The Just Adventure Gamestore for our finds.
Make Ruby/AvaKa/Exiled, etc. happy. Or we will be sad.

That's right. Every answer would always be: "Why, that's Sanitarium!"
"You are correct! It's Sanitarium!"
You: "Sigh) But it's always Sanitarium!"
"Yes, but isn't it fun?!"
So I'm going to guess it's Sanitarium, InlandAZ.
