If you're really interested in the game, here's a bit of info on it: Alfred Hitchcock Presents The Final Cut
If you're an Alfred Hitchcock fan, it might just tickle you pink. I own the game, but never had a chance to properly play it. I must admit that I myself feel rather inclined to give it a go soon. I want to brush up first on some AH movies that I got recently though.
Haven't got a clue what either CB or Emmanuel's games night be...
CB, the reason why the name of the thread has changed AGAIN, (and this time it wasn't me, btw) is because we decided not to bother with the year so much anymore, now that we have places like GOG around. Still, if it's a non-PC platform only, like let's say only for Wii or Gamecube or whatever, that will be pertinent info to post.

No, that's not it sorry.
From the same game:
I would have guessed that it's one of the Space Quest games by now, except that: 1) I'm not sure which one of the 6 SQ games - perhaps 5 or 6 ? and 2) Those didn't sport crosshairs, If I Recall Correctly .
Though there was another space game... now what was the name of it again... :
Maybe this will make it easier

The game would be far too easy to guess and I didn't want to modify the picture, so I moved the main character to a spot where he would be hidden by the background (behind the church) and the game cursor (a cowboy boot!) at the edge of the screen. Here's the screenshot with Freddy visible on screen:

By the way, walsh, I'm pretty sure your screenshot is from "Star Trek:Judgement Rites", released by Interplay in 1993, a year after "ST:25th Anniversary". I have a very nice collection by White Label that includes both games on CD-ROM.

You got it! I'm surprised no one got it. It's a very good game :-[

A dark cave with the dim light of candles casting ominous shadows on its walls... an unholy altar with the remains of human sacrifice still fresh on its ice-cold stone... a deformed creature holding a book of powerful magic with blood dripping off its cursed pages...

OK, as you can see there are no “remains of human sacrifice” on the altar, neither “blood dripping off the cursed pages” of the book; and the “deformed creature” is just a little goblin; I just wanted to scare you!
So, what game could it be?

Hint to screenie posters: if you leave the name of a place or character visible in the screen, it's only too easy to confirm via the internet... sorry... but you would expect people to follow up on clues you leave, yes? :-* The game looks interesting, Andromus. I haven't played it, have you?
Emmanuel, your latest shot seems delightfully evil and icky, whatever it is from. [smiley=shudder.gif]

Heh, which is why I hope my pic is small and blurry enough that nobody makes out the name on the banner. The picture is otherwise distinctive enough to be quite easily guessed by those who had played the game, anyhow.

Yip. Do you know how hard it is to post a Sanitarium shot that isn't an immediate giveaway? (Without Photoshopping it - and I don't currently have Photoshop)
The protagonist's "asylum clothes" gives it away when you play as him, and the cyclops creature you play in the hive, is a dead giveaway, so I thought the little sister might be least obvious. But that fair(circus?)ground is also a bit of a giveaway, not to mention that huge ugly clown... (Which I particularly avoided for that reason...)
But I couldn't fool you guys, could, I? Even with my nattering about names and banners... :
Well done, Walsh and Emmanuel.
