I did a double take, because it looked familiar, and thought it might be one of the first-person Sherlock Holmes games. Then I saw the pedestrian zone sign and went.. :-?
Greyfuss, as you will remember, you screenshot boffs (yes, you're one of them - what happened to SuperEdy, btw?) were all happily baffling one another in that "hard" thread that you linked to. But then some of us *cough* "less expert" people wanted an easier thread, where we would also have some chance of recognizing some of the shots.
...but now, like we said earlier, the "Windows only" rule has become rather silly and superfluous. :
So, I think the best 'rule' we've made for this current thread, is that anybody can post, in anybody else's place, as long as not more than 3 screenies are unanswered at a given time.
(Traveller hopes that nobody has noticed that one of the reasons she really loves this rule is that she likes to take guesses, but doesn't love to post screenhots. )
You can have all my turns, Greyfuss. You too, Mark.
Cultura doesn't need anybody's "turn"; - he just posts, thank goodness. 8-)

All right then. He who guesseth correctly shall be King or Queen of the Screenshot Guessers until the next person guesseth correctly.
If any of the mods are around, can they please just change the name of the thread to:
Guess the name of the adventure game
Thanks, much appreciated.

The "rules", as it were, were simple for Adventure Scene Game and the world didn't explode or anything.

I just like the, ah, game's "Guidelines" to be simple so this old poopy-head can remember them without searching back a bunch of pages.
No matter what the game is called, it's still something interesting to look forward to in the JA+ Forum pages, and I appreciate Traveller re-creating this fun and totally appropriate game for us to play.
Please proofread your posts carefully to see if you any words out.

Nobody is stopping you guys from still playing that thread. I personally just couldn't come close to guessing any of those obscure games. I simply just don't know my screenshots well enough.
I like that the guys are posting crops of more familiar games in here, and/or editing out the familiar bits or characters.
It's nice to often see a screenshot that looks familiar, but having it take a moment until the "penny drops". ..and it's nice to sometimes actually manage to guess a screenshot correctly. 8-)
..and if we have a rule that allows for three unguessed pics at the same time, nobody stops the "experts" from still posting harder shots that totally goes above the head of the likes of mois.
..so how about we just forget about silly arguments about names and rules, and just get the hell on with posting screenies and guessing them -who really cares about the fine print?

Darkseed 2 is right.
Traveller - the second is definitely an adventure game, though it does have a few skippable action sequences.
This may be an easy one, let's see -

Pardon me, Your Highness, I should have said: He or she can be King or Queen.
..and if whichever he wishes to be a Queen, they may do so as well, as far as I am concerned. [smiley=angel.gif]

My two cents about changes in the title of this thread is to keep it simple.

I'll give another hint for this one - it's mostly set in space. I'm sure many of you have played it.
