I should make a plan to post in this thread again, I've become so lazy lately.

I had to look it up because I played it as a youngster with my sister.

Let's try these two: (both cropped)

Edit: I just realized the second is not windows 95 as it was made earlier. The first one probably is though.

Darkseed 2 is right.
Traveller - the second is definitely an adventure game, though it does have a few skippable action sequences.

Relax, the rules were relaxed somewhere along the line, I just don't have my old account anymore which would allow me to edit the title. Now that we have GOG, the old rules don't make sense anymore, because we can play some DOS games with more ease (thanks to GOG) than we can play some post 2000 games who refuse to play nice with Win 7. /me glares at Starforce >
Go ye forth and enjoy....
The second one looks like something I'd like to play. It looks rather like Quest for Glory.

Thank you, JA-Staff3, that's a nice offer.
Currently a bit brain-dead due to just having handed in some work for a deadline.
Will let you know in about a day or so. 8-)
Ok, busy recovering and thought, how about this for a title:
The Name of the Game
(I just hope ppl who are used to "Easy ID" will know where to look...

If there is any re-naming of this thread, I think it should be as blunt as possible. Something like this:
Subject line:
Guess the Adventure Game Picture!
Message:
1) A JA+ Forum Member posts an Adventure Game picture
2) Other JA+ Forum Members try and guess which Adventure Game it came from
3) The first Adventure Gamer who guesses the picture correctly has the opportunity to baffle the rest of us with a fresh picture of their choice
It's just that simple.
Please proofread your posts carefully to see if you any words out.
