Anybody who wants to post in my place, please do so in the next hour, or forever afterward hold your peace...

Ok, here's a new one:
If the Trojan horse I am hiding in, could speak, it would surely tell the time...

I'm afraid that your game rings only faint bells (presumably since it's now past the hour, and they're fading away, given your hint ). :/
It's my guess that the "narrator" is probably not alive, given their hiding-place, although other possibilities exist - that we're talking about a clock big enough to hide a human being, that the hider is smaller than a standard-issue human being, or that some more surreal scenario is playing out...
It sounds like a horror premise to me - the mention of th Trojan horse suggests infiltration, probably not with benign intent, and, as I've said, my current guess is that the one doing the hiding is not alive (or perhaps otherwise supernatural).
MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
*ahem*
Sorry.

| Deleted User | This is a recent game, Thaumaturge, and since a few of your assumptions are indeed correct, I feel pretty certain that had you actually played this game, the penny would probably have dropped, so it is possible that you might not have played the game yet.
The narrator is indeed very much alive (and rather feisty, might I add)- what use would a Trojan horse be if it contained dead insurgents?
You are not quite correct on the horror premise either... indeed - the "infiltrator" might be on a rather romantic mission of International rivalry...

The "international romantic rivalry" prompts me to think of Broken Sword, but the most recent is a few years old now, I think (if not many), and I don't remember this "Trojan Horse" trick from that...
... I just realised an inherent pun in your description, now knowing more about the game, although it's not the sort that I quite care to repeat, I'm afraid.
... what use would a Trojan horse be if it contained dead insurgents?
Un-dead. ;P
Or just peek-a-boo corpses, at least.
In any case, dead insurgents don't want for the toilet, or give away the game by talking or moving about too much, and they're very patient...
MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
*ahem*
Sorry.

| Deleted User | Nah, it's not Dracula, -if that was what you were thinking. This game was released in the last 2 or 3 years.
The infiltration didn't take long enough for you to need the toilet, unless you had a weak bladder...

Nah, it's not Dracula, -if that was what you were thinking.
If that was directed at me, then heh, no, I was thinking, as I recall, rather of one of the later Broken Sword games, in which I seem to recall a rival love interest for Nico turning up (although I may be misremembering, now that I try to dredge up some more concrete details).
MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

New hint: You are in a small, dirty, room and for some reason cannot stop doing a certain action. Don't worry, though, as the friend you've helped before will help you now (or use you... he's that kind of person).

This place may be dirty, but it's also pretty cool. Lots of decorations. Oh, and there's a huge cage here, too.
