Resistance is not futile, we're gonna win this thing, humankind is too good, we're not a bunch of under-achievers! We're gonna stand up, and we're gonna be human beings. We're going to get fired up about the real things, the things that matter! Creativity, and the dynamic human spirit that refuses to submit.

The "American" box is better than the "Euro" box because it has a front flap that when opened provides 2 (very cool) additional "pages" of art.

at least the version i have is VERY impressive! There are two versions - one is for the European release and the other is the US release. I prefer the Euro version, which is the one I have. I had ordered the game online long before it was known whether or not the game would be released in the US.
Same goes for The Last Express - one is the original and the other is the re-released version. One shows just a train breaking through a barrier and the other has a different shot of the train and two characters on the front. My version is the latter, although to look at them both I like the other one more.

eGoatee A very affirmative seconding of eGoatee's choice. I love this box and the whole package! The most beautifully artistic box-art I've ever seen.
b.t.w. eGoatee loved your idea in a previous post about framing the flattened boxes on your walls. Cool idea.

Spending 20 mins or so admiring the artwork was for me an important part of the game experience and seemed to make the money you paid out for it more justifiable!

There was even one (Planetfall) in a shape of a flying saucer, and another one (Plundered Hearts) in a form of a woman reticule A later beautiful adventure game box is the box of Fable (otherwise quite a s**t game), from 1996 which was designed as a book

The X files game box is cool too, very clever packaging.

The interesting thing about that box cover is that it shows someone creeping up on Laura with a rope. However, none of the murders in the game ever involved a rope.
