Sword of the Stars was another very enjoyable strategy title from a while back. I must say I am very sad, as I really liked the games they published.

Status : Online | Having looked at a couple of articles about this, it appears that Lighthouse Interactive itself would have been a going concern, but a bunch of companies that owed them money went bankrupt. This is symptomatic of the whole current economic situation, in the UK many small businesses are going under because they are sub-contracted or act as suppliers to larger businesses that are either not in a position to pay them or are holding off paying them for as long as possible
Just a sad and cynical state of affairs..

Status : Offline | Which kinda makes signing with a publisher a bit of a risky proposition doesn't it? I can only imagine that it would be in a developers best interest to make sure that they still control their IP in a region in the event that the publisher goes under. In which case they can still sell the game themselves or find another publisher.
