Status : Offline | You and I like the same kind of games Colpet but I've never heard of most of these titles. I shall have to look them up. Aura III I will play IF it is more like Aura 1 and not Aura 2. I had to cheat a lot in Aura 2 because some of those 'puzzles' weren't really fair - like climbing the rock face in the dark?
It should be mandatory for everyone developing a game to play Obsidian so they can see how it should be done.
Must say I'm shocked you have a Nancy Drew on your list.

Does your quoting Casebook episode 2 mean you've already played episode 1? What is it like? I'm considering ordering it, but I'm not sure what to expect. I looked at the trailers, but they don't give much away about the difficulty and gameplay. I'm a bit nervous that it will be a casual game like CSI NY.
Wow, and you really are clued up with coming attractions, Colpet; I also have not heard of half the games on your list yet.

No. I was just trying to compile a list of upcoming first person games, along the lines of Rhem, with more emphasis on puzzle that character interaction. I haven't played the Casebook games, they were just added suggestions from the thread's contributers. After looking into Casebook 1, I'm not sure I'd like it. It seems more like an interactive movie.

Must say I'm shocked you have a Nancy Drew on your list. I didn't like Aura 2 as much as the first. There were too many sneaking about puzzles. I agree with you about Obsidian. I must give it a replay soon. As for Nancy Drew, I've played all of them up to the Secret Clock. I like the puzzles, though the arcade games try my patience. Really, what it boils down to, is not having much choice. There are not many Rhem/Myst-style games coming out. Many are spooky or scary - I don't mind, but I'd just like to explore and do puzzles without having to be tense all the time. Thank goodness for independant developers, because the larger producers are mostly focusing on 3rd person character driven adventures.

It's pretty bleak (for me) when even Jack (Singer) from AG makes a joke that everything is 3rd person these days. :-/

Other than that, i'm still looking around... more into online prize hunting but open to new stuff so keep it coming.
