The musical puzzles are cool. Harder than it sounds

Status : Online | One of the best games ever, and unique to its kind. I don't think we are going to see ever again a game with such an original interface. And the story was just amazing. I actually have the cd version!!! Isn't that cool.
But the first time I played it was in ega with 16 colours and no voices but it rocked anyway! I made a top 10 of adventures in another thread and I forgot to include it! Damn. It is definitely worth a place at least at no. 5 or 6 best adventures of all time (in my humble opinion).

You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

Status : Offline | I played the Amiga version as well. Loom is a masterpiece and like the others said, a one of a kind game in a world of remakes, sequels and clones. The only disadvantage I can think of is that the fantastic interface made the game too easy. One of the games that never had a sequel no matter how much we wanted one.. and before you say that the ending didn't leave much options for a sequel, I'll settle with a different story based on the same world and interface.

Status : Online | Anyway I hope that they Lucasarts doesn't make a sequel of Loom right now cause if they did they would probably have you press each tone with a keyboard click, and the guy of loom (don't remember his name) would be able also to shoot with his staff and a different tone would be another weapon or sth.

Guybrush: "If you kill me, there will never be a sequel, and without a sequel noone will remember you in a few years" LeChuck: "Of course they will remember me! I'm the Great Lechuck!" Guybrush: "Ever heard of Bobbin Threadbare?" LeChuck: "Who?" Guybrush: "My point exactly"

Some people are like a slinky. They might not be good for anything, but its fun to watch them tumble down stairs. &&

Status : Online | Loom had a unique and beautiful concept, but there wasn't much to it as a game.
The whole 'learn commands from the gameworld' and then 'apply commands to objects in the gameworld' idea was great fun, but there was very little to actually do. It could have done with less long cut-scenes, and more obstacles to progression (and so more opportunity to cast the spells) and more interaction generally.
I didn't think the plotting was up to much, either. The guilds all seemed perfectly happy to provide the Clerics with what they needed to conquer everyone, which seemed very silly to me. And I found the ending a little abrupt, too.
Still, it was a lot of fun while it lasted, but I think it could have been so much more...
