Just wondering if anyone knows whether or not there will be a 5th Broken Sword game (after Broken Sword - Angel of Death). :-?

It will. Apparently most of the game will be based of the story before George and Nico met, which means, story before Shadow of the Templars

Hopefully... yes. Although Cecil didn't talk much about it yet.
Broken Sword and PC are a perfect match though.

Exactly! (although I haven't played BS 2,5 yet).

I know I've asked before but can someone re-post a link to BS 2,5? I'm juggling 2 laptops at the moment and have a lot of confusion with my games.

Guys, you should really check BS2.5, its almost like playing BS1 or BS2, the graphic style its almost identical. The story is still related to the templars, but, of course, with different twist. Overall a great game. Awesome if you consider the fact that its free an fanmade!

Broken Sword 2.5 is amazing being a fan-made game.
It brings all the feeling from the first two BS that the new ones lack. It's all there. I loved it!

@Inesrocks

I've been postponing the download of the game for quite some time. As soon as I finish Fear 2 I'll catch up with it! I didn't know that it was totally free. I thought you should pay a kind of donation. (not that it is wrong).

I'm going to wait till I finish Overclocked before starting. Based on Inesrocks' recommendation I want to give it my full attention.

Am I right in thinking the game is in German with subs?

@Taurnil

Yeah.. It's totally free and it's lenght is not that short giving it is a fan-made. It even features some cool movie captions too.

@maum

Yes. But as long as you put the voice sound down a bit it won't bother you at all. And you can learn a bit of german too!

I'm going to play Overclocked soon... it it good?

Just started but so far am enjoying the gloomy storyline.

The big downside (for me anyway) is that it's set in a rambling about to be closed grotty mental asylum. I assume it's to make the game more atmospheric and creepy but to me it lacks credibility and is frankly a bit silly.

@Inesrocks

The game is very good although you will be bored because it's raining constantly through the entire game
the rest is lovely. Somewhere else I wrote about its controversial ending, I can't remember where, but as a whole is a very good work. As for the asylum is only part of the story as the narrations of the mental wounded ppl will make you visit and live another areas, so don't you worry!

I concur it is good so far- the asylum is just a pet peeve of mine, it's one of those game contrivances that I could just do without.

Doesn't detract from the intriguing storyline though!

Anyway totally OT for this thread so I'll stop.

Just to throw in my two cents on Overclocked..

There are some irritating points to the game but by and large I enjoyed it, the characterisation of McNamara was excellent, the plot intriguing for the most part and not too taxing on the puzzle front..

The main downside is working out which recordings to use once you get all the patients talking, at some points you just have to force yourself to listen to almost everything AGAIN >
just to move the plot forward, its also a fairly bleak story/atmosphere - if you like a little humour to leaven the 'noir' environment you will be dissappointed.

Is there any way you can skip the dialogues? I haven't found it so far. I am going to start another thread about the asylum.

Unfortunately the 'dialogues' are the crux of the game, its possible to make a mini game for yourself out of working out which recordings should be used with which patients, but really its just trial and error mostly :-/
