Resistance is not futile, we're gonna win this thing, humankind is too good, we're not a bunch of under-achievers! We're gonna stand up, and we're gonna be human beings. We're going to get fired up about the real things, the things that matter! Creativity, and the dynamic human spirit that refuses to submit.

I don't like Opera but had to have Andrea Bocelli "Romanza" ......
I have a very wide range of musical tastes ..... from Hard Rock to Pop and in between:
Want my LIST? Too numerous, too diversified. I like ALL music ..... except Country and Western........ can't get the hang of that "hick" stuff.

Status : Offline | i say we talk about Punk music too!
Definitions: "real" music: the delusion of a person with limited musical horizons, that what he/she listens to is the best!
and there are way too many happy songs from all other kinds of music (just listen to "ha" by chronical diarrhoea!!! )
btw i like funk music (without considering myself a fan) so the above was not an attack to it! :
You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

| Deleted User | You know, I said something about 'noise' in an other thread about 'music'.
Elfstone said that I had to stop flaming.
Now look here.
But, I don't care. Honestly, I don't. I'm a happy person.
For the purist Funk you've got Parliament (my Avatar is that of their Life album, Friday. So you're right about that.)
Under that there's a wide range of funk related music. From Lounge to disco, Latin to Chill out , Soul to Jazz Rock, From jazz to Drum 'n Base
But that's it. That's my border. My narrow mind, Aya. (Glad to know that my sarcasm reached out. )
Punkrock doesn't make me happy. Speed metal either. Country, Trance, R&B, Folk, Rock 'n Roll, Hill Billy, Hard Rock, Reggea, House, Top 100, etc, etc. Forget it.
Only classical music is something differend. Has a place in my life, although not a big one.
I know I'm alone out there and a long way from home.
But I got nice music in my spaceship.

Uhm...no, that was not what I meant. You wrote "I disagree" in almost every thread. THAT was it what I was talking about. This was annoying and by no means a funny idea.
I don't mind if you call other music "noise" or not, that's just a question of personal taste. Just the disagree thing wasn't ok for a forum. What was the point anyway? You said you are a happy person. Why do you need to do things like this?
Btw: One can be a happy person and listen to different kinds of music. Rock can be happy as well. I don't get your point. I know a person who listens too a lot of soul, funk and blues. But he also listens to bands like Slipknot or Fear Factory. Both makes him happy. Depressive music can make me happy as well. I listen to it and say, "Wow, that song is great, it's depressing, but the melody is wonderful" and that can make me happy.
playing: Destination Treasure Island (done in two sittings, but it's nice), Syberia (ho-hum), Dracula: Last Sanctuary (on hold)&&reading: even more study papers&&listening to: this and that, plus Musicovery&&TV favorites: (currently) Pushing Daisies, Chuck, Journeyman (cancelled! grrr...), Heroes&& all-time) 24, Stargate SG1, X-Files, Lost, House

Status : Offline | I'm never quite sure what Funk music is, except that I download it from MP3.com sometimes in the Jazz section when it's the sort of jazz I like. Never really known if it just refers to jazz or not?
Other than that, didn't post in the other music section as it was mostly about pop and rock and I prefer classical (all sorts) opera, easy listening and most types of jazz, some rock (the older sort I guess) and really just about anything other than country.
