Topic: Other Music

Deleted UserWhen reading the "music" topic I thought to myself:

OK Funk is not main musical interest here. No problem.
That's the fun(k) thing of talking with people all over the world (E-World) with only one common interest; Adventure playing. All other interests can be completely different.

So I Make my own topic, which will be a short thread I'm afraid.

I call this topic Other Music, although I wanted to call it "Real Music"

My main interest is Funk music (hey, that's strange, mister Funkenstein)
Funk in it's purest form (Parliament/Funkadelic)
Funk in it's Broadest Form. (to much to mention at this moment, but perhaps later will give examples)

Main think about me loving funk music: It makes me happy.

No bad thunder, no noise, no bad themes (hating, drugs, killing, alcohol and sexual abuse, negative attitude, hating school), in other words: music with a negative vibe.

No, I'm a happy person and I like happy music, with rithem, full instruments(Horns, please), danceable, get on the good foot, you know.

Just to say: May the Funk be with you. Only if you want to.

Resistance is not futile, we're gonna win this thing, humankind is too good, we're not a bunch of under-achievers! We're gonna stand up, and we're gonna be human beings. We're going to get fired up about the real things, the things that matter! Creativity, and the dynamic human spirit that refuses to submit.

But of course it's your personal choice

Deleted UserWhat about the REAL classics? Chopin, Beethoven, Mozart?  That can be MOOD music too. Especially Piano Concertos, etc.

I don't like Opera but had to have Andrea Bocelli "Romanza" ......

I have a very wide range of musical tastes ..... from Hard Rock to Pop and in between:

Want my LIST? Too numerous, too diversified.  I like ALL music ..... except Country and  Western........ can't get the hang of that "hick" stuff.

Sir Funk! Your avatar is from a music album right? What band is it?

I also like happy music. Like Cradle of Filth, Morbid Angel and Dark Tranquillity

i say we talk about Punk music too!

Definitions:
"real" music: the delusion of a person with limited musical horizons, that what he/she listens to is the best!

and there are way too many happy songs from all other kinds of music (just listen to "ha" by chronical diarrhoea!!!
)

btw i like funk music (without considering myself a fan) so the above was not an attack to it! :

You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

Deleted UserYou know, I said something about 'noise' in an other thread about 'music'.

Elfstone said that I had to stop flaming.

Now look here.

But, I don't care. Honestly, I don't. I'm a happy person.

For the purist Funk you've got Parliament (my Avatar is that of their Life album, Friday. So you're right about that.)

Under that there's a wide range of funk related music.
From Lounge to disco,
Latin to Chill out ,
Soul to Jazz Rock,
From jazz to Drum 'n Base

But that's it. That's my border. My narrow mind, Aya. (Glad to know that my sarcasm reached out.
)

Punkrock doesn't make me happy. Speed metal either.
Country, Trance, R&B, Folk, Rock 'n Roll, Hill Billy, Hard Rock, Reggea, House, Top 100, etc, etc. Forget it.

Only classical music is something differend. Has a place in my life, although not a big one.

I know I'm alone out there and a long way from home.

But I got nice music in my spaceship.

But truly I dont have any specs for my fav music. I like it if its nice to hear to my ears. from downright  60's jazz to Linkin Park.

Uhm...no, that was not what I meant.
You wrote "I disagree" in almost every thread. THAT was it what I was talking about. This was annoying and by no means a funny idea.

I don't mind if you call other music "noise" or not, that's just a question of personal taste.
Just the disagree thing wasn't ok for a forum. What was the point anyway? You said you are a happy person. Why do you need to do things like this?

Btw: One can be a happy person and listen to different kinds of music. Rock can be happy as well. I don't get your point.
I know a person who listens too a lot of soul, funk and blues. But he also listens to bands like Slipknot or Fear Factory. Both makes him happy.
Depressive music can make me happy as well. I listen to it and say, "Wow, that song is great, it's depressing, but the melody is wonderful" and that can make me happy.

I'm never quite sure what  Funk music is, except that I download it from MP3.com sometimes in the Jazz section when it's the sort of jazz I like.   Never really known if it just refers to jazz or not?

Other than that, didn't post in the other music section as it was mostly about pop and rock and I prefer classical (all sorts) opera, easy listening and most types of jazz, some rock (the older sort I guess) and really just about anything other than country.
