I see what you mean JP, and I think you got a very valid point, but that doesn't stop me from feeling immense pain and anger once in a while, in matters I have no control over. This is the spirit, in which I answered the question in this thread anyhow.

I am glad someone sees my point of view, but I probably haven't made my opinion totally clear - I do get angry and upset by many of the terrible things that happen in the world, I just never reach boiling point until I am really pushed or threatened, Kind of like the Incredible Hulk!
Maybe I should make that my username! I might not be so boooooooooooooooring then!

Green is definitely a funny colo(u)r, but the hulk is not, you're so ouuuuuuuuuuuuut JP .
Seriously - I totally agree, I never reach boiling temperature nowadays, The reason I picked the "rages" side is that I feel rage, and think it's natural, I didn't quite understand your p.o.w. erlier.

Status : Online | Actually, I can only recall one time when I got so enraged I totally lost it. I was a kid, 12 yrs I think, and my five year younger brother got beat up by a couple of older kids in school. I saw red, and marched up and consequently beat the c*ap out of both of them. It kind of scared me that I was able to do it, and have managed to control my anger very well since, btw, so no need to worry about me comming knocking on your doors! Needless to say, nobody dared laying a finger on my brother. It's odd really, it's a long time ago but I happen upon those guys sometimes when I go visit my ol' neighborhood, and they've far "outgrown" me since, but still they look a bit scared whenever we run into eachother, heh...

*shudder* I just noticed the unusally high amount of grammatical errors and typos in my last post. It was late, sorry!

After reading your earlier post, I don't think anybody dares to say anything about it ...

How strange. I had just about the exact same experience. The only time I ever experienced true rage was the same as with you - when someone picked on my brother. It happened more than once, unfortunately. I totally lost it and beat the crap out of those boys, too. The fact that he was little and they were big just infuriated me. Bullies.
We can be heroes, just for one day.

How odd that we got the same experience! Perhaps it's the "Big Sister Syndrome"... I'm still very big on "defending" the ones who for some reason can't speak up for themselves. Don't go physical though, LOL!

The only time I personally instigated injurious mayhem was when I came upon some punks menacing my younger brother with the buisness end of a lit cigarette. Fist flew, curses too. One of them ended up face down in a well-used cattle pen. Must have been unpleasant, heh, heh.
