Should JA+ start having a yearly award ceremony for adventure games?
actually it shouldn't be called a ceremony as it's not like the Oscars but it does give awards.)  JA could vote on various categories like best story, best music, best voice acting, best game of the year and worst game as well.  Many game magazines do the same I can't see why JA can do it.

.

I think that's a fine idea CT.

Not sure it should be by popular vote alone though. While that could also be done is a separate user poll, the awards might carry more weight if the "official" staff (including a panel of longtime JA reviewers) made those decisions.

Cheers, Terry

I feel that the "official" staff should make the decision of what games should be awarded, not by the public.

Well, there is the Game of the Year poll on the front page.

Deleted UserIMO a poll would be better... and the larger the participation, the more "accurate" the final awards --- I think !??!

the poll is already there, on the front page... i like chrono's idea though so i'll pitch it to randy

You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

Deleted UserLove the idea! There's already a lot of "official" awards out there; so I think it would be nice to have both: an official one (by JA staff), and the popularly voted one.

I also like the dea.  Not only is it fun and potentially informative, but it could be very good PR, too.  8-)
