High resolution eGoatee is something very very different from good GFX.
Also I highly doubt eGoatee has read all poste here, otherwise he would have understood not to insult you m0ds.
The GFX of FoY is the best I've seen among Amateur Adventures. I think it's even better then Tierras KQ remakes.

Hey, whoa there! I love Fate of Atlantis as much as anyone here (it's my favorite adventure game, as a matter of fact) but..."Action crap"?
Heh, when's the last time you saw the trilogy? They are ACTION FILMS with a little adventure thrown in. It only makes sense that the games should follow this track. Fate of Atlantis was an outstanding game, but to be honest if youre going to be Indy, be Indy. Sure, the new action formula is only two games old now, and Infernal machine was an overall mixed blessing (it really unraveled at the end after a superb start), but from what I've seen of Emperor's Tomb, it's going to be quite a romp.
I mean, the whole point to Indy was that he was the brilliant, globetrotting, tough as nails archaeologist with a talent for brawling and a wicked shot if he needed it. Personally I think it's great to solve a puzzle to gain access to an artifact, then make my way out of the temple whipswinging over a few pits and givin' some thugs what for with my fists and Webley.
Yep, that's the Indy I know :-)

| Deleted User | Hmm, seems I was a little late to catch up on this thread. Oh well, let's see...
I'm seriously impressed of these screenshots as well! This seems to be rivalling the Tierra games and is yet another proof that fan-made games can be as good as the "real" thing. I await this game with great anticipation! If LucasArts screws their Indy franchaise up, at least we'll have this game as a consolation.
The timing couldn't have been better actually. As you may know, LucasFilm are producing a fourth Indy movie set for release in one or two years. Some people think this will be another disappointment like the new Star Wars movies, but my hopes are high. Spielberg, Lucas and Ford all express their deep concern that this movie has to be really, really good. And I think it will be.
As for Tierra, I happen to know that QFG2 might not be their next release, according to Tom Lewandowski. This may come as a disappointment to you. Hmm, maybe I've said too much now... Anyway, this doesn't mean they aren't working on new games. They are, but only they know which ones!
About the game-wars, I don't think it really will be a war. Fangames aren't competing for sales, so having the best quality isn't as important. But of course there is the issue of fame and recognition. Anyway, KQ9 isn't going to look like the Tierra games or the Indy project, which are both "retro-style" if you get my point. This is only a good thing if you ask me, but it isn't how KQ9 is going to be. We're planning to make a game that looks more modern, using 3D graphics and whatnot. We're also developing our game engine ourselves. I'm not allowed to give any details away, but the stuff I've seen of it is mind-blowing! From artists to programmers, the group behind it is amazingly talented and devoted to the project. I have no doubt it will be a great game!

Status : Offline | Betje, I can't really answer that one because I just don't know. However, FoA II are still going strong and don't seem to have been stopped by LEC. Is this because LEC just haven't found out about it? I have no idea.
But if you think about it, they're actually making an un-official sequel to Fate of Atlantis, where as we're just making a brand new Indy game, connected only to LEC with the use of the name Indiana Jones, and other various things like a couple of locations and character names.
In theory, that should mean we're in the clear, if FoA II afterall. I can't see the problem LEC would have with FoY.
The full tag line for the game is, "Can one man and his friends stop an undefeatable giant in a race against time?" - read that again, and keep LEC in mind ^_^

and fate of atlantis isn't even a movie is it? remember, the last crusade was released both as action AND adventure... FoA was released when advs were at their peak, and when 3d action was the big hit they just turned the series into that... it wouldn't surprise if they made indy a strategy game, if strategy games become the huge hit : THAT pisses me off... indy was a great adv series that seized to exist because it wasn't "hip" anymore >
