Probably already an older thread like this somewhere, but hey I'm talkative tonight.

To me the best soundtracks are from Conquest of the Longbow and the Gabriel Knight series. Conquest is just beautiful both in style and sound, I immediately get nostalgic just hearing it.

GK is amazing and I love Robert Holmes work. I was ecstatic to hear he's doing Gray Matter because he just has the whole dark gothic thing down. GK2 was just a work of art thanks to it's soundtrack, it became very clear that this man wanted to be an actual composer for more than just games.

Okay, these are oldies, but true classic:

King's Quest 6 -- truly beautiful music.
Grim Fandango also has great, atmospheric music.
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.

Also, Zork Nemesis has haunting but beautiful music.

a. The Longest Journey (after all this time I continue listening to it with nostalgia. Maybe out there Arcadia is still waiting for us).

b. The Dig (although in space there is no sound, no music, this particular score justifies the possibility that somewhere over there Music is one of the precious substances of the universe).

c. GK (I still remember the opera part!)

Myst.

Riven.

Have both of the soundtracks.

Listen to them at least twice per week, to relax.

Be nice to me, please.

Playing: Skyrim: Dragonborn/Dawnguard; Torchlight 2; To The Moon; Far Cry 3

Finished: HomeFront; Far Cry 3; Dishonored

Always Playing: Half Life 2

Looking Forward To: BioShock: Infinite

Reading: BioShock: Rapture; SW: Revan
