I've been playing the full game for a few days now and I love it. However, some minor bugs are rather annoying. There is also a major one that apparently prevents you from finishing the game. I won't bother with spoiler tags as this is something everyone needs to know:

If you have not left the castle yet, DO NOT refill the perfume bottle. If you do, trying to empty it in the lake from the balcony will not work (the cursor disappears). Just in case you have already done that, here's a fix:

1. Go to game\assets\scripts folder in your game installation.
2. Find .bin file corresponding to your latest save (it has biggest number) and open it in notepad.
3. Find following line:
<scriptvar name="perfume_dumped_inky" value="True"/>
and change it to:
<scriptvar name="perfume_dumped_inky" value="False"/>
4. Save file and load the game. You should be to empty your perfume again.

Deleted UserHi Alkis.
Seeing that the game seems to be running fine for you, I wonder if you'd be so kind to tell us if you're using an ATI or Nvidia graphics chipset.

I never even noticed you could refill it.

I'm currently doing the coloured pots puzzle.

Deleted UserAh, for a change, -a game that it is Nvidia friendly.
Well, yippee - I've got Nvidia on both my PCs, higher and lower-end, so between the 2 PC's I should be able to play this game, when I finally get it.   :

Hm, on the other hand, both my processors are two-core, and Nik suspects that his duo-core processor might be his problem, in getting the game to play.  Here's to hoping it's his ATI card rather....

I have a quad processor and an ATI double core 4870. Do you think I'll have problems running/playing it?

Deleted UserTaurnil, please see Nik2008ofs's solution in the other VS thread. It seems that the answer lies in setting your affinity for only one of your processors.  Nik has helped me before with multicore-processor related problems.

Shout if you're not sure if you know how to set it to a single core.

imagecfg is the best tool for multicore issues.

Sets the affinity permanently on the exe.

ok I'll give it a try although I'm afraid of the setting of affinity due to lack of experience at such matters. Thanks anyway.

Taurnil, you can do it manually, but that program that Avatar mentioned is rather useful. I've got it, and have used it quite a lot for my older games. Perhaps you should try it.
You can always download it, and if not sure what to do, ask for help in the Technical issues forum. Someone is sure to help you, and I'll also look out for you there.

Or if you want to just try it manually, and need help, ask and I'll walk you through it here or on the tech forum. You know by now that I'm very patient... :
  People like Nik2008ofs and JKing and Inland AZ and Jenny100 have helped me a lot, too.

Does this game have issues with multicore CPUs though? The demo worked just fine on my quad. No issues.

That's a relief. If you'll begin to play it please inform us if you'll encounter anything during playing time. Otherwise I'll check the technical section. Thanks.

Deleted UserThis game is a strange bird indeed. I wonder why some gamers experienced the black screen and others not?

Anyway, it is good news that a lot of you are not having problems. It does sound as if the potential problems are at least fixable, so I'll probably also take the plunge and take a chance on purchasing it as soon as I can find it on the shelves.

In any case, I'm happy to see that the multicore issue seems to be a non-issue for most.

I can't help wondering if the black screen thing and the "crashing" at startup issue, might not somehow have something to do with copy protection?
