| Deleted User | Thanks, Crisger. This game is on my to-get list; but I think I'll wait a bit before getting it, as the Tomb-raider games always have an eventual drop in price.

| Deleted User | Yeah, I might check this out myself. I've played other TR demos and though I've always enjoyed them, I've never played a full version. Maybe this one will be different if I really like the demo. Otherwise, it will get put on the 'games that would be nice to play someday list'.

I was going to wait for this one's price to come down - as it inevitably will - but, but, but.. now I don't know if I'll be able to last until that happens! [smiley=doh.gif]
Hmmm.. perhaps I should amuse myself with the demo until that time... :

I agree with you about the screenshots although I will wait until the game comes out torturing myself 'till then!

But the awesomeness of Legend more than makes up for that, so I'm gonna give TRU a whirl when I get the time...

You're on a smallish platform, and if you survive the bat-things volleys and kill them, you're met with another lever that triggers some rods that you need to jump around on to advance to the other side of the room.
Sounds like a typical TR situation, right? WRONG! It's not only timed (meaning if you're half way through the thing and the timer runs out, the rods go back in and you fall to your doom) but trying to jump around and maneuver through it is next to impossible with human hands.
I felt like I needed and extra brain and 4 extra fingers to get through it. I tried... and tried... and tried... and tried... and tried... and so on, an upwards of about, oh, 50+ times, and decided the frustration wasn't worth it. I have had some heartache with controls in past TR games but was always able to get past it eventually... but this TR:A situation was destined for dookie.
Anyhow, I've never vented fully about this, and it feels good to get it off my chest after all this time.
TR:U may go on my XMas list... maybe.

This sounds like a typical reason why I usually end up not finishing a TR game... :-[ [smiley=hair_pull.gif]

At that particular point I googled around and found a trainer which made Lara fly!! But I have to confess that this particular part was impossible to get through, absolutely impossible.

Heyyy... can you point me to that flying trainer? I can find others, but that flying one is the one I want!
Please?
Thanks in advance... TR:A, I just may give you another chance!

Unfortunately I played the game a long time ago on my previous computer so I can't recall the particular trainer. As far as I remember though I downloaded 3-4 trainers and I just discovered on one of them the flying thing! My advice is to search and I'm sure you'll find it.

I highly recommned you play Tomb Raider: Legend first since Underworld is a direct sequel.
I just finished the full game and I'm quite satisfied with it. My only concern was the camera but the game was still playeable.

I just bought it yesterday and I'm going to start playing today. I was a little bit anxious cause the critics were not written on the whole game just the demo but I'm glad that you say you enjoyed it!

Hope you get it working...

Today though none of the above problems are occured so I hope that everything will run fine. I heard that a patch is prepared!

Turning off AA, huh? Odd, but great that it was the fix... Here's hoping the patch fixes everything up nicely for you.
One thing I did notice was the camera being kinda whonky. Sometimes it would swing around so wildly I'd nearly fall out of my chair in disorientation - and I had to turn the mouse sensitivity WAY down so the chase camera wouldn't be so fast and touchy.
Let me know how the patch goes...
