Status : Offline | I still study (though I don't work). The last week has been rather slow though, and I've only spent about 6h/day studying. As I commute, I can study on the train (so that is 2h in total each day that I don't waste in a car).
clearly I need to find out what it is you have for breakfast/lunch/supper and try some too. I guess that the only thing I eat/drink that deviates from the norm is the copious amount of tea that I drink each day (2-3L). That and the fact that my food is very multi-cultural (my lunch that I've eaten during the last few days have been inspired (starting with yesterdays lunch and going backwards): Southern USA, Western Russia, Turkey, Italy, Korea, Northern India, Lebanon, Sweden, and after that I don't remember, home cooked, of course, today I plan to make some Japanese food)
I think I've said it in another thread, but in the end it most likely comes down to the fact that I only have to take care of myself.

Yip. I suppose being alone does have it's pros and it's cons. Well, I still work, (though mostly from home these days) and have run into some unpleasant extra admin lately. Also taking care of my family, and irritating things like cooking and cleaning, doing laundry and so on [s]wastes[/s] take up a lot of my time, while when I was a student living alone, I used to eat out of tins to save time and keep the plates clean! :-[ :-X
Believe me, if I had a few weeks on my own, I'd do some serious gaming/reading/movies catching-up, but at some point I'd start to feel lonely, I guess...  not to mention that everything would probly be covered in dust and mold )
Anyway, on topic: a foot in Morrowind, a foot in Gothic 3, a toe in G2NOTR (sadly I seem to have run into problems with the graphics on this one), should get on with ME2, also been considering resuming my replay of Jade Empire, and, inspired by the comments here, am considering installing KOTOR 2.
I had been dabbling in Drakensang River of Time, but the setting feels so 'tame' compared to Gothic 3 and Morrowind, although the combat itself is not easy.
I'm starting to feel the strategy itch now as well again, so considering picking up with Disciples 3 where I left off, or perhaps something faster, like an RTS.
But first, I have some work to finish and a deadline for next Friday... :'(

You consider cooking an irritating thing? I'm actually quite fond of cooking, in particular when it is done with friends (but even when I'm on my own, I always make good food).

It's still coming out in a few months.
Also for a new RTS, do you like the Total War games? The new one comes out this month, Shogun 2. Demo is on steam if you never have tried them.

Oooh! Shogun 2 sounds interesting! I'm really out of touch with what's on the horizon these days...
Well, I have most of the earlier Total War games, including Shogun 1, but I never really got much 'into' them, perhaps I should try them again now that I have slightly more RTS/Global strategy experience.
Also, I'm thinking Shogun 2 will hopefully have better graphics than Shogun 1 and I'm pretty fond of an oriental setting, I must say. [smiley=jumping.gif]

Shogun 2 has some of the best graphics in an RTS game. With the sheer amount of troops you can have in a battle it looks simply beautiful.
Trailer with the demo on full: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6tpPr1403Y
I'm running it ok on full with my E8400 and ATI 5850.

Bah, silly Microsoft. We've been waiting since October 2010!

I dislike daily shlep-type cooking. It's not often that I get to cook for people who enjoy exotic, ethnic-type cooking, but I enjoy Greek, Portuguese, Italian, Chinese, Thai, Spanish (and Indian and possibly Mexican if not too hot!) cuisine, and like experimenting with those if I have time and appreciative, um ..-takers.

Ok, I'm getting excited about this...
Did you get Empire and Napoleon, Stiler?

This one is more a return to it's roots kind of thing with more improvements, such as the ability to rotate the world map and things (it was just a fixed view before). Among bringing back some fan favorites like the little movies tha tplayed when you'd use assassin's and things (showing you if it was successfull or not).

A heads up, Amazon has matched (or lowered) the prices of these games on their site to compete with steam. One advantage is that they don't require you to buy them in a pack (you can buy each at a discount).
Just search for whatever games you want from the pack on thier site.
Picked up Call of Juarez for 3.99, saved me a bit of money for games I already played from that pack.

| Deleted User | Almost half way through the single player mode of Dead Space 2 and having a great time. For a sequel, it has definitely ramped everything up a couple notches. The visuals, sound effects, scare factor, etc. are awesome. So far I wouldn't rate it an 'A' game but a 'B' or 'B+' and a must play for any of you horror game fans. Happy gaming.

Tell me, have you played the DA: O DLC Awakening and Witchhunt?
Phew, Hell is an old game. You'll fit in very well here on Just Adventure! ...and we have a lot of Tex Murphy fans as well. I still need to play those, actually!

Currently my dwarves are living on a diet of mushrooms, wine made from mushrooms & food made from mushroom wine, though I'm drying to get a wild strawberry farm going as well, to avoid unhappy dwarves (with one they will be allowed to eat/drink wild strawberries, wild strawberry wine and food made from wild strawberry wine).
And soon I'll have to start employ one of these fellows... (darn cats!).

The game is played offline, although people often play so called succession forts, in which the players will take turns and play for an ingame year or two.

Got into STALKER recently, fired up an old copy of Morpheus had laying around and got it running in XP - nice, and as usual, at the wheel/pedal/stick of rFactor/GP Legends/NASCAR 2003. The big plan is to immerse myself in Rise of Flight as soon as I get it going.
