I also greatly enjoy Chuck (it's my favourite at present) because of its excellent cast, and my friend Neil has got me interested in Burn Notice as well, which I've enjoyed for much the same reason.

Status : Offline | this is a pretty painful story too, but at least not the excrusiating agony of knight rider... from the shows that are on right now i am watching bones, numb3rs and til death
numb3rs is seriously going downhill, moreso with each new season... don't know why i'm still giving it a chance... seasons 1&2 were fantastic, back then i could call it one of the best shows in history... but, naturally, they decided it's way too clever for the avg tv watching [s]cretin[/s] person so they dumbed it down considerably in the math area (which is supposed to be what the show is about), and added all the oh-so-necessary "character development", ie romance, personal life problems etc
til death is struggling, though it does have its moments here and there... overall nothing spectacular, but can be fun to watch at times
bones is the best of the 3, although it has slightly gone downhill too, compared to the first 2 seasons... it's still a good show though (now if they just lose that idiot sweets things can get better)
knight rider? did someone say knight rider?
from the shows that are currently going thru a season break, burn notice uber alles! 8-) then psych, monk (also going downhill) and anthony bourdain's no reservations
bottom line: REALLY like: burn notice, no reservations like: bones, psych just watching: til death, monk don't know why i'm still watching: numb3rs you will suffer eternal torment if you mention again: knight rider
You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

Let's see here...
NCIS (Woot! Go Abby!) My favorite show. All the characters have quirks that make them all more interesting to watch. Abby totally rules though. Caroline would have the loved the last episode when someone stole Abby's chocolate cupcake...
The Unit - The ongoing drama keeps getting more and more intriguing.
CSI: Las Vegas & NY. I hate Miami. Las Vegas is about to take a dive though. Warrick is now gone, Sara already left and now Grissom is leaving the show mid-season.
Criminal Minds - I enjoy this show, but there isn't really any redeeming quality to it.
How I Met Your Mother - It's just stupidly funny.
And almost anything on The History or Discovery channels.

Did she get even?
I watched CSI Las Vegas for a year and that was only because Grissom was in it. I love a man with facial hair.... (but only when he's handsome to begin with, has great eyes, nice voice, and keeps it trimmed)

Beards are cool, but too often the guy gets a bit lazy and starts "forgetting" to keep it trimmed. The result can become a "prickly" problem... [smiley=laughing.gif]
Btw - we agree on Grissom too, - he's not half bad... I wish the next CSI game would come out now, - I love them.

My regular TV watching has dropped to almost nothing in recent years. Even though there are hundreds of cable plus PPV channels, I just can't seem to get excited about many programs.
I still do watch various newscasts, editorial discussions and some sports. But even they are getting less attention because I'm online so much these days for both work and play.
One recent show I did watch almost religiously was (the new) Battlestar Galactica because I love the story, characters and cast. I also try to catch the remake of Doctor Who and when both shows were scheduled together back-to-back on the Sci-Fi Channel's Friday night line-up, I might also have watched whatever came just before or after.
Otherwise, I'll watch a few old and new films on cable occasionally and a couple BBC / PBS classics once in awhile - as well as some Discovery or National Geo specials.
Oh, I also get a kick out of South Park every now and then.
Cheers, Terry

I caught the first episode of Sanctuary. Kind of interesting, enough for me to give it a chance.
The Mentalist I like from what I see so far. I'd recently read through the Sherlock Holmes stories, and I was primed for something like this, a series starring in essence a modern day Sherlock Holmes.
I was really intrigued by the concept of Life on Mars, but a Phillies playoff game was on at the same time so that won out instead. Hopefully they'll archive it on the network's website so I can catch up.

I was an indifferent fan at first, but once you have the benefit of hindsight you realise it's really very clever television.

Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Loved the first season, like the second one so far.
The Big Bang Theory. Sheldon ftw!
House. Still going strong.
Like:
Supernatural. I'm very uncertain about the direction S4 is taking. Throwing in religion and "Revelations" is a sure fire way to get me fast asleep, but it seems to be all that is needed to get the average TV watching [s]cretin[/s] person hooked, since ratings soared. They haven't overdone this aspect yet, but I'm not hopeful...
CSI and CSI Miami. Good cliffhangers on last season's last episodes, and Miami really grew on me after the fourth season...

| Deleted User | I hardly watch any TV these days, I just haven't got time --- that's what comes of being fully retired (and our 3 children married with their own families and off our hands!!).
In any case, the TV here (about 8 English channels and Goodness knows how many other language channels) is so lousy that we generally stick to excellent documentaries and of course local & world news including Sky & Fox.
But last night was an exception --- we sat for 105 minutes watching a decent 2002 fllm for a change, Zeffirelli’s "Callas Forever". The reviewers were divided (like with Quest/Adventures) some loved it & others disliked it (I don't think HATED it). We enjoyed it --- but despite its shortcomings we like opera (and 'light’ music) incuding Carmen!

Life On Mars: Don't know how it stacks up to the UK version, but I'm enjoying this one. Good main character, nice supporting cast.
My Own Worst Enemy. Which I was finding more and more intriguing. And which just got canceled. Grrr....
Well, with the number of first run shows I was watching, I knew, statistically speaking, that some would be canceled. I figured the first cancellation would come from Knight Rider, Crusoe, or even Heroes which have all been so-so. I did not expect it to be My Own Worst Enemy, which was one of the new shows I've been enjoying the most. Typical. Reminds me of what happened last year with Journeyman. >

Winter can be quite dreary here in the northeast US, but I don't usually watch a lot more TV during the colder parts of the year. I'm more likely to play an adventure or RPG, or chip away at my stack of unread books. The last couple of television seasons have been something of an aberration with the number of new shows that have caught my interest.

The set-up is fairly simple: a good-natured police officer out of his element; that he suddenly finds himself thirty-five year in his past is largely immaterial. As Andromus suggests the supporting cast is indeed excellent all around, though the star himself is, I find, a little on the bland side. Still, I love the setting, the cinematography, the stories (for the most part), the wanton brutishness of the old-school cops... Indeed, about the only thing I don't like is the big deal they make of this silly coma. Fortunately tonight's episode suggests this might be changing. I'm looking forward to more roughing up of scumbags and other abuses of power!

I also love Weeds and, I admit, Dirty Sexy Money (okay, ABC isn't made of all jerks).
MADtv is also one of my favorites, although that just got canceled, too.
And I love USA's Monk, although that will be ending soon, I suspect. I swear, everything I watch is cursed ...
Oh, and Two and a Half Men is just hilarious.

However, those random episodes I do watch are only so absorbing because of the character interaction.

I had a similar experience with the show. I found I wasn't paying attention to the stories after a awhile, but was really just watching for House's quips.
