I promise you chaps, this is a cracking game worthy of your attention.

Now please excuse me,  there's a fizzy green bottle in need of my immediate attention.

Thank you Noel and Got Game

I am expecting mine to be at my doorstep tomorrow and it looks very interesting. Looking forward to see what has kept you so busy for so long. I am hoping that your game can bring me out of the adventure game doldrums as the last 5 new releases have been major disappointments to me....... Maybe I have been playing these games too long and expect to much or maybe I am just getting ornery as I get older!

Deleted UserSo many games seem to have followed a mould recently.  Rhiannon is different... and not only because it's set in Wales !

A game very well worth playing !  As one of the beta testers I was very impressed !

([ Seems that some have already been sold & preordered via Interact:- how/why I'm not sure :
http://www.gameboomers.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=396518&PHPSESSID=69086024f53ddb44bbaf1b317caaba5c#Post396518 ])

EDIT (Later)
Some folk contacted me and asked if it's a (so called) horror game.
For better or for worse, IMHO it is NOT !
It is creepy, ghostly, spooky, supernatural (mixed with modern everyday phenomena) but not HORROR !
N.B
. and you can't "die" !  [smiley=beer_buds.gif]

YES!  [smiley=clap.gif]
I am soooo looking forward to this game, and it's good to know you can't die. I'm one of those people who finds dying in a game to be a real bring-down.

Congratulations! I know how happy you are! This is how I feel after I complete a lengthy comic book in Comic Book Creator!

I'm planning to buy this game at the local Office Depot, Inc. that's a chain store in Century Square in West Mifflin where I live with my Office Depot $15 reward card towards it.

edit - just watched the trailer...i think that this game outranks "Celtica," an older Welsh-Celtic-based game, the graphics are like real photographs, not cartoony, it's the kind of graphics that's right up my alley (I hate cartoony graphics, and I steer clear of new games on the market with cartoony graphics)

Deleted UserInteresting how times change... and speed up --- maybe it's the Net ??
Once there were no walkthroughs.
Then they appeared usually quite a while after a game was released.
Then at the very date of release (at least somewhere in the world and in some language !!)... or at the most a couple of days after !

And now what seems to be an excellent & very detailed long walkthrough of Rhiannon has been posted on a Forum nine days before official release.

The world is certainly accelerating !    [smiley=huh.gif]

I guess I'd say it's speeding up. Is this game released on store shelves yet (as of now)?

Thank you Noel Bruton

I am several hours into Rhiannon and enjoying the play better than the  last 5 disappointing new releases. The game reminds me of a cross between Dark Fall: The Journal and Amber: Journeys Beyond. Thanks for not leading me around by the hand and thanks for letting me do my own thinking. You may have just rejuvenated my adventure game playing.

Deleted UserThanks Greyfuss,

It looks like you're getting the same as we get from an Adventure game, which is why we built 'Rhiannon' the way it is - to be like the sort of game we like to play. Or more accurately, to be like the sort of game our adventuring expert Karen likes to play, because she is our muse and this whole project was her idea. That's why although I'm grateful for your salutation, I must confirm the game is not my sole effort - I'm just the singer of the band known as 'Arberth Studios'. I can't take the credit alone, but pass it to Karen and Richard also.

Cheers

Just now I checked this game out on GameStop's website, and it's listed as an "Action" kind of game. Does this mean there's fighting/self-defense and tricky running/jumping/you-got-to-time-your-jump-right kind of moves that I (as the player) will have to accomplish in this game? I hope not, since my reflexes are slow. I thought this is an adventure, point-and-click kind of game.

What gives?

That site is on crack thats why. Many games also have their publishers listed as developers, as well as listing DNF here and there like they had actual inside knowledge. Just ignore it.

Deleted UserRe Gamestop's dodgy listing - it's true that 'Rhiannon' has no timed sequences, reflexes are not needed and it should be listed as 'Adventure', not 'Action'. I've mentioned it to GotGame and they're going to try and get it changed, but apparently it's not easy once it goes into the 'system', and I can understand that.

I have just finished Rhiannon and I would like to say...Thank you Noel, Karen and Richard. I enjoyed the play very much and your graphics were right on. Much better I thought than some of the over done graphics we have been seeing so much of lately.

The look and feel of...Spoiler Alertthe Tunnel was spot on. I use to inspect brick tunnels hundreds of feet under rivers to measure the cracks once a year. The tunnels would fill up with water like yours and we had to pump them out and enter. Your different colors of the slimmy bricks and feel were so exact that I could actually smell the musty dankness while playing Rhiannon .

Now the last thing I would like to say is... what is this new game I have heard you and the team are working on???.......Come on give it up! If Rhiannon is any indication, I can't wait.

Deleted UserHello Greyfuss,

So glad you enjoyed the game and thanks for taking the time out to say. I've told Richard what you said about the you-know-what because it was he and I that invented it in the small hours of a weekend long ago, and we were pretty excited about it at the time. And as Righard looks after model design and rendering, your compliments about the graphics go to him also. Main thing is that you said it was enjoyable to play, because that's where we started, ie with gameplay.

Can't say much about the new project yet (contractual as well as artistic reasons), but yes, it's true we've started on one.

Cheers
