WOW...That game was certainly the best in the series. It seriously creeped me out and evoked a strong sense of dread in me. No mean feat with such basic graphics...

Gotta say all those visions after taking the pills (can you say subliminal?) were scary as hell (actually hell doesn't scare me at all but you get the point) and The Tall Man flashbacks...Brrrr....

After the so so two original games of the series (don't get me wrong, they were good, just not as good) I was truly amazed. Kudos to Yhantzee for these amazing games!

On to 6 Days a Sacrifice...

Yeah, Trilby's Note was easily the best of the series IMO. Just completely perfect.

Did you play 6 Days? If so what did you think about it?

i loved the trilby series and i agree trilby's notes was the best of the bunch... shame some ppl didn't play it because it features a text parser... 6 days was my least fav, but that doesn't mean i didn't love it too, just not as much as the other three

You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

Yeah, Trilby's Notes was probably the best of them. Great atmosphere and some really scary and gruesome moments.
My favourite bit was Spoiler AlertAtfer opening the safe in a room in the real world, I tried opening the door to that room in the nightmare world, wondering what horrible things I'll find there.
Instead of letting me open the door to see, the game responded with 'it hurts'. I thought this was one of those times so I tried again. 'it hurts'. One last time just to be sure. 'it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts'. I was thoroughly creeped out.

6 Days was ok. I didn't like what they did to a certain character there, and the ending was too open. It had some cool moments, though.

Has anyone played the three little text adventures that were released before 6 Days came out? They explain a few small things in the game, and are very atmospheric.

no, never played those... i wanted to, and was about to, but never came around to it... then time passed and interest faded away... i doubt i'll play them now, unless i replay the games at some point and get "in the zone"!

btw, don't know how many know about this, but if you donate you get special editions featuring quite a few extras... it's $5 per game, unless you donate for all, which is $15 for 4... those extras are definitely worth checking out - esp the birthday easter egg in 7 days!

I thought 6 Days was disappointing after how good Trilby's Notes was. I didn't care for the direction the story went, and it wasn't as scary as the previous game. The transition to the shadow world in TN was genuinely scary stuff.
